I’m sorry for you - this is total bullshit. David Lyons is a sack of shit. I hope you find your loved ones and get an ice cream and have a nice walk in the park.
BTW - I think your profile pic is rad and you look awesome.

There is no argument. It’s pure bad faith. Fascism in action. The president has no right to unilaterally suspend my fourth amendment rights.

Additionally, he’s given purchase to outside bad faith actors to claim support in the law where there obviously isn’t support.
Not only is he acting in bad faith for personal gain, but he’s enabling bad faith actors to use his statements as a (bad faith) claim to academic credibility.

The foundation of his credibility, of course, is his body of work and commitment to good faith academic inquiry and instruction.

I think this is demonstration of the inclusion paradox in the academic space.
We rely upon professors to act in good faith. His argument is plainly in bad faith. By putting forth, and standing by, a bad faith argument, he’s destroyed the foundation of his credibility.

The claim is so egregious that it calls into question his basic qualifications to understand the law or maintain academic integrity. If I was a geology professor and I said that the earth is flat, wouldn’t that disqualify me from professing geology?
