One nice thing about this moment - we're seeing more clearly which publications are presently willing to stand up for truth at any level, and which are worthless rags unfit for toilet paper.

The Saudi royal family is Muslim. A random Muslim is still not responsible for the actions of the Saudi government. Benjamin Netanyahu is Jewish. A random Jewish person is not responsible for the actions of Israel.
You are attaching the actions of a state to all the people who are of a religion.

You asked Jewish people to answer for Israel, rather than Israelis. That's akin to asking a random Muslim to answer for the crimes of the Saudi royal family. They have commonalities, but the one is not responsible for the other.

More precisely, it saved less than nothing. Cutting that funding seriously damaged our soft power, and did enormous damage to many communities around the world.
You don't save money when you refuse to get your car fixed, and it breaks down on the highway.

It's not about extremism. It's about a billionaire using a fig leaf to poorly conceal his efforts to dismantle anything that may impede his business interests, and anything he vaguely dislikes, like the US agency that helped bring down his home nation's apartheid.

They (mostly) don't (some are also dyed in the wool racists themselves), but they have found that some of the slaves are more likely to get in line if they get to kick others that aren't like them.

Please don't conflate Judaism with support of the nation state of Israel. One is a faith, the other a settler colonial project that actively worked to get these people in power.

He was on a blocklist for me already. That's one thing I do appreciate about Bluesky- don't need to deal with garbage if you don't want to.

We are a nation of 300 million, a significant fraction of whom can see this for what it is. We can walk and chew gum at the same time.
And allowing Trump and Musk to seriously compromise the transport system of a major city will only play into their hands.
Let the people here work.

I don't deny that he was slipping, but it is senseless to villify someone for pointing out bad faith actors making it look worse than it was, as the person I responded to did.

These things do exist, though. Say what you will of Clinton, she was not deathly ill or having strokes in her 2016 run, but many badly manipulated videos were spread to make her look that way.
Photoshopped bullshit is as old as photography, and it can be used for evil.

That may not be driven purely by small-minded apathy, but also by Russian disinformation.
All those claims about Ukraine's present government being a NATO puppet, and the points about the Azov Battalion and the Nazi collaborating Ukrainian partisan wouldn't have helped, nor Tim Pool's peddling.

Ah, gotcha. Yeah, D&D has a lot of fun tools, and BG3 does better than most video games in implementing them, for you to use freely.

'Not our friends' and 'awful and terrible' are two different things. There are people who shit on Dems unnecessarily, but this thread is completely reasonable.
She's just demanding that they do their jobs, while retaining skepticism about their motives. That's simple pragmatism.

I hope yours forgive you quickly. One of mine despises travel and is scared of checkups too, and I had to chase her all over the apartment, and corner her, to get her in the carrier. Thankfully, she forgave me within the day. Helps to have a gentle vet.

There is a reason Israel is being brought up on genocide charges in the ICC.

Infrastructure was annihilated. 80% of surviving Gazans are in makeshift shelters, with inadequate clothing and protection from cold. 81% tents are worn out, and unfit for use.
And Israel adds starvation to this- UN aid is slow-walked, and attacked frequently by Israeli forces.

War was declared long before 2005.
At least 46,000 Palestinians are known dead from the latest assault, including approximately 18,000 children. Thousands more are buried in the rubble from the indiscriminate bombing.

Yes. The mass slaughter of Gazan civilians, with the intent of exterminating them from the area.
Trump's plans to put US boots on the ground, to ethnically cleanse the space for his new beachfront property, are just finishing what our bombs helped start.

Looks great! How do you make a gradient like that?
