If the board get rid of Musk, their shares would realign with actual reality (are Tesla really going to be more profitable than Toyota going forward without US government contracts?
I highly doubt it.

The thing is… Tesla board don’t have anything other than “access to the US government contracts via Musk” to support the share price.
It’s (still) ridiculously overpriced compared to, say, Toyota (share price / earnings ratio)
Musk is the reason why it was so highly valued and still is but worse
