True. And there's a fine line as well in midsize for getting too wide of experience imho - general domain knowhow is good, but sometimes you get stuck in a role where your day to day doesn't let you gain mastery over anything, and mastery and depth become an off-hours task. It's a balance.

It's an #a11y problem. So, so genuinely.

Source: Have autism, UI changes genuinely make me throw up. It's asinine to me that people believe it's "just a UI change", there is a whole SUITE of people with disability for whom it is a huge, world-shaking problem, who will do anything they can to UNdo it OR to no longer use your product.

What language? I find most apps to be a little too gameified to really be helpful outside of separate study.

Lists definitely, bsky has been tough to find folks to follow, but it feels like this latest birdsite influx changed that. And “JWST Exoplanet” stuff sounds pretty cool 👀

What’s fun is it’s the way people process information. “He seems uncomfortable even though he’s smiling” - insight. “She’s sweating and her hand edges towards her weapon” - perception. “There are a lot of swords here for the amount of people” - investigation. I’d rule any work, it changes the info.

Insight and perception are the go-to imho - insight for more a Read on people, perception more for noticing things that get you to a conclusion. Investigation also possible if it’s in a Sherlock-style scientific way, but this should have the risk of an *utterly* wrong conclusion.

100% agree with this. Remember most people want to help, especially if they are your friend! They might even feel bad you didn’t say something sooner, if they’re a good friend they don’t want you to be uncomfortable.
