Those aren't liberals. Liberals still like imperialism

The trick is you need a way to pressurize the mixture. Water balloons work bc water comes out of the faucet at pressure. You can't just pour it into a balloon

I like when conservatives know who the "good guys" are and then desperately try to rationalize how they actually are a part of that group

A friend once said that posting on Twitter is a bit like yelling at the TV, but with a chance the TV will hear you and yell back. I think that's even more apt over here

They don't exist in our political system. That's the problem. Look, I voted for kamala bc at the end of the day I'm pragmatic and Republicans are an existential threat. But I get why she lost and I know that continuing to put forth republican adjacent dems in elections will doom us all

Ok ok. Does that extend to the greater population once their first victim was mauled? Bc then I still think it'd quickly devolve into a 28 Days later situation

There was a show back in the early aughts called Pros vs Joes and it was incredible

I want to seize (violently if necessary) and nationalize transportation, communication, energy, and water infrastructure.

You think *I* don't get how the system is rigged for rich white guys, but *you're* the one advocating for the corporate friendly democrats.

Ya but conservatives will *always* vote for the human sewer. Trying to win them over by being the slightly less shitty sewer is a losing strategy. Her job is to inspire people to get off their couch and vote by giving them a reason to do so. "Nothing will fundamentally change" is not that

Where are the fucking cookies? Centrist ideology is basically vote dems to keep the status quo because nothing can ever get better

Conservatives will vote for the worst human being available to vote for 100% of the time. You can't win them over by being slightly less shitty. You offer and deliver tangible improvements in people's lives and win over the people who would otherwise stay home

By most metrics we're doing better than any point in history. Less death. Less misery. Higher standards of living across the board. But rising global temps and increasing wealth inequality combined with rapidly creeping authoritarianism makes it feel like a sharp cliff is imminent

Religion tends toward a rigidity in thinking that is unhealthy. Beliefs are hard to change. Their worldview is fixed and new and doesn't change to reflect new information or viewpoints. There are no unanswered questions so they don't bother to ask any. Its intellectually and emotionally stunting
comment in response to post
Adhering to basic "Christian" principles are fine, but let's not pretend "try not to be a dick to people" is specific to Christianity. They're arguably the worst at it in actual practice. But acting on the belief that life goes on after death or that a messiah will return to save us all is harmful

My criticism is that shaping your worldview and subsequent behavior around 2000 year old (recycled) myth is inherently damaging to the mind. It warps your reasoning and causes the kind of dissonance that can be dangerous to yourself and people around you

Because it's an ideology of ignorance. A fundamental rejection of logic and science in deference to a bunch of bronze age bullshit and superstition

Ya but that's coming from the perspective of "I'm just voting for the less worse version of two depressingly similar sets of policies." Their's seems to imply "I don't agree with these but I'll vote to make them worse anyway."
