Not just upset but disappointed that their best friend who they supported and shared meals with is suddenly treating them like an enemy based on fake statistics.

Unfortunately Canada does not fund its own researchers that well. Canada should be investing in research for energy, precious metals and agriculture, which would grow those industries to fund other areas of the economy. Instead, research will likely be one of the first things to get cut.

Pushing, demeaning and bullying your closest allies does not seem wise in a world that is already shifting away from the US. Canada buys a bunch from the US. This could backfire really bad on all North American countries.
