My friend, a brilliant sax player and entertainer, took me to dinner before meeting up with his band. This was a while ago, and he spent $40 on a nice meal. Then he played in a bar for 4 hours and came away with $25. Musician economics.

In California, Medicaid started shutting down weeks earlier (obeying in advance). My friend whose husband has dementia had been approved for services which aren’t available now.
