My response would be, “Yes, I understand what I got done last week. Thank you for your interest.”

No. If it doesn’t feel the law is fair, it should have a change to the law approved in the usual way.

Bill Gates said he would happily pay 5x times more in federal taxes than he has.

No, no. Before the war, Zelenskyy was already looking for outside investors. Extracting those minerals is a huge, multi-year project. But now Russia has taken over those mineral rich areas.

And Zelenskyy was already looking for outside investors to take on the massive, long-term job of extracting those minerals. Right now, those mineral rich areas are under Russian occupation.

Don’t be so sure. Zelenskyy was already looking for outside investors to develop the infrastructure needed to extract that minerals. It’s a huge and long-term undertaking. Now Russia hold the territory where those minerals are found. This will benefit Ukraine!

Very difficult to extract those minerals - especially when Russia illegally holds the areas in which they are found. I bet Ukraine says, “Sure you can have some of them - as long as you build the infrastructure to do it and employ Ukranians.” Ukraine had already been looking for outside investors. 🤷♀️

There is nothing Catholic about them. The appointed faith leader proves that.

Bad time for jokes - but full points for it being a clever one! Just watched Conclave last night!

There is some truth in that. But let’s remember the U.S. largely wanted it that way. It has given them control over the balance of power. But now Trump is demonstrating the danger of that. I hope, collectively, smaller nations can fill the void.

Definitely could happen. Certainly a big enough upheaval to leave the door wide open.

Canadian here. It’s not just about Europe. There are other countries involved. Keep NATO.

“How should Canada defend itself against Trump’s threat to make us the 51st state?” There. Fixed it for you 👍

I think that’s pretty obvious. No matter what is reported, it creates a firestorm of misinformation in the press and online that can never be fully countered.

Maybe they can report using the same poor level of English that Musk himself uses.

She has been removed from the race by the Liberal Party. Rightly so. For not following the rules.
She’s a CPC plant.

Diabetes is not caused by sugar intake and that has been known for years. It is caused by the body’s inability to process sugars in the first place. Inability to produce insulin is contributed by many factors, including but not limited to, weight gain.

Sad to hear. Whatever people’s opinion, he has always been a kind man. And we don’t need more “change” right now.

Now the provinces need to work on standardizing their own regulatory frameworks to the extent possible.

Can someone please start stating who Ontarians should be voting for? I’m in BC and don’t even know who is running against Ford. There is no place on the ballots for “not Doug Ford.” People need to know who to vote FOR.

So stupid. If they wanted to truly streamline services for the betterment of the American people, they could have done it in a methodical, gradual way. Instead they have created pain and chaos they can never truly undo.

Glad to hear it. Definitely not a liberal but a Conservative plant. Cons are all over social media saying they signed up for the leadership vote in bad faith and would vote for her.

I don’t think anybody ever said, “Let’s fire people indiscriminately, all at once. Then let’s have to try to hire some of them back because we needed them after all - and not worry that maybe they won’t feel so loyal to their job anymore.”

It does. But I don’t think my occasional consumption of bacon will significantly shorten my life. I just follow the most balanced diet overall and leave the rest to the Gods.

Not to be harsh but of course they did. Life expectancy is based on age at death and toxic drugs take more young people while COVID takes older people. COVID wouldn’t be expected to change overall life expectancy as much.

That’s one thing Canada is bad at: preserving its history. We let things fall into a state of utter disrepair and then finally say, “Oh well, too late.”
