Struggling to think of a precedent for pulling the plug on intel sharing in this manner. Only cases that come to mind involve a U.S. partner using U.S. intel to commit serious crimes and that obviously isn’t the situation here.

Protesters will gather outside the US Embassy in London today (Wed) from 5.30pm to protest against Trump's policies towards Ukraine. The protest is organised by the Ukraine Solidarity Campaign and supported by the Stop Trump Coalition, Ukrainian community organisations and other campaign groups.

Trudeau: "Now I want to speak directly to one specific American. Donald...it's not in my habit to agree with the WSJ, but Donald, they point out that even though you're a very smart guy, this is a very dumb thing to do. We friends fighting is exactly what our opponents around the world want to see."

Canadian PM Justin Trudeau: "Today, the United States launched a trade war against Canada - their closest partner and ally, their closest friend. At the same time, they're talking about working positively with Russia, appeasing Vladimir Putin - a lying murderous dictator. Make that makes sense."

Friendly reminder: if you are waiting on something from a US-based scientist/reviewer/editor, please realize that we're barely making it through each day putting out non-stop fires and trying not to collapse into tears. We're trying our best, but things will take longer right now. Give grace.

"The new governments in Syria and Lebanon are anxious to engage with the West and to prove that they are no longer havens for pro-Iranian proxies. Continued occupation of their territory may not be the best start to improving relations." www.economist.com/middle-east-...

I don’t think I have a clear grasp of what Canada is expected to do in order for Trump to end the tariffs. Agree to be 51st State? Tokenistic announcement of crack down on the tiny amounts of fentanyl precursor chemicals smuggled over the border? Lose at Ice Hockey? Give Mounties US-bred horses?

Anyone claiming Zelenskyy doesn't want peace is either an idiot or a paid propagandist. Anyone claiming Zelenskyy should accept Trump's terms for peace is also an idiot or a paid propagandist.

The view from Glastonbury Tor this morning. I'm not sure the photograph with it's golden glow shows how cold it actually was up there. In any event, take it from me it was very very cold 😂🥶

A freezing cold start to the day here in Glastonbury. Sunrise from the Tor.

Good morning all! 🇺🇦 Please share everywhere. 🙏🏻

When you unite the entire press from Great Britain, quite an accomplishment!

Zelensky looks overwhelmed with emotion, hearing Starmer’s warm words. Zelensky must be absolutely shattered and traumatized, yet retains his dignity. Thank you, Keir, for standing by Ukraine 🇺🇦!

I’ve been emotionally tweeting similar myself the past 24 hours. My cooler head says Starmer should simply set terms for the visit - that it can take place when there’s a genuine, just, sustainable peace settlement in Ukraine. Before then, UK will just be “too busy” to host Trump.

Perfect! Definitely a contender for “word of the year.” Another would be a “Lindsay Graham” - describing an opportunistic turncoat who coasts on his reputation as John McCain’s best pal, whilst betraying everything McCain stood for.

⚡️Trump eyeing Russian minerals after war ends, US official says. The U.S. is open to a minerals deal with Russia, Steve Witkoff, U.S. President Donald Trump's envoy to the Middle East, said in an interview with Fox News on Feb. 27.

This was one of the worst foreign policy speeches I’ve ever heard a British politician deliver. Vacuous and unconvincing; full of cliches, half-truths, false choices, evasions, double standards and opportunism. Read my full takedown here ⬇️

What an odious, fucked-up headline in the #BrokenPost, positioning Trump's pivot--no, surrender --to Putin and betrayal--"incredible betrayal," in the story--of Ukraine as a cause of "hope." #DeadPost

Former PM of Australia tells #Newsnight that Donald Trump ‘is a bully’ and if you ‘stand up to him’ you can ‘win his respect’ Malcolm Turbull has some advice for Sir Keir Starmer ahead of his meeting with the US President …

Secretary of Defense Hegseth says he doesn’t know if Russia invaded Ukraine. This you?

It's extortion. And also against the Budapest Memorandum, in which the USA guaranteed it would not use economic coercion against Ukraine. And also in which the USA gave assurances to protect Ukrainian independence. A price was paid then, in 1994.

Macron corrects Trump after he claims "Europe is loaning the money to Ukraine. They get their money back."

Trump's face when Macron says the US should be compensated by Russia, not Ukraine, because they started the war. 😂😂

Ukraine was easily Johnson's finest achievement. Obviously he's now decided to torch it, like the feckless vacuity he so truly is.

Brilliant protest. Yosemite National Park workers hung an upside-down American flag — traditionally a symbol of distress or a national threat — thousands of feet off the ground on the side of El Capitan.

The pace and breadth Trump/Musk have chosen is a huge strategic error. Their resources are finite, esp after decimating federal depts. Doing it all in Month 1, means all legal challenge/breakdown/protest washes back in Month 4. At that point it is THEY who'll have to choose what fights to ditch. 1/2
