Immunocompromised folks and others who might need to wear masks for their safety. ICE wears masks to hide their identities as vigilantes. This is totes cray cray.

😍Yes! Good. I've been sharing about this research: "Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change." Though, I read Bahrain is the exception to this rule in another study.

I watched Inglorious Basterds last night. That final scene where the German commander turns coat so he can go live a comfortable life in the US - and the Basterds carve a swastika on his forehead so no-one can forget who he is and what he did.

I walked into a party tonight and the host said "I was just reading up about Curtis Yarvin; I need to get up to speed with who this guy is."

the bad news is it is up to us. the good news is it is up to us. no-one in power knows what to do, and no-one is coming to save us.

Yes, seems like it's their plan. They don't care how they affect the rest of us. 1.) Announce tariffs. 2.) Short the stocks. 3.) Reverse the tariffs. 4.) Invest in stocks. 5.) Make the money both ways.

He thinks *he* is *this* country. I feel like there is nothing more profitable for the already rich than the destruction of a nation.

4. In my experience, and with apologies to Feargal, a good heart is not at all hard to find. Though we've been instructed for years by neoliberals that most people are selfish and greedy, it is simply not true. Research shows that our dominant values are kindness, community, family, empathy etc

not sure if your reply was for me or the originator of this thread. I agree, I need proof beyond someone just saying it in a post. I did see this today about the DOGE (dodgy) cuts...
