Some bad things really are just directly downstream of the American public having voted, and there are legitimate policy consequences for that. Sometimes they can Just Do That because they won. I'm not playing this election denial thing. Winning is really fucking important.

It's just a box of rain. I don't know who put it there.

If you live in Massachusetts and buy this instead of Fluff, there is a 100% chance that you mispronounce "Waltham" and "Peabody."

Amy Coney Barrett's leftward drift is a canary in the coal mine for what will likely happen over time with single-issue anti-abortion Catholic voters in a post-Roe world. This is why past Republican presidents preferred it to be perpetually under attack but never overturned.

This is what I'd like to call the Massachusetts Miracle typographic style.

I love how announcers won't say the phrase "no hitter" during a no hitter. "Going into the final inning here, nobody has put the ball in play and safely gotten on base without an error or a fielder's choice. Starting pitcher, still in the game, looking for 3 more outs."

I just heard a cover of U2's "Love is Blindness" that made me realize just how much it draws on "The House of the Rising Sun."

The comments on YouTube videos for old songs (Rod Stewart's "Tonight's the Night," in this case) are undefeated.

So much modern conspiratorial thinking - from Qanon all the way down to internet randos calling bands industry plants - is rooted in a lazy refusal to spend even a single minute trying to learn about something you don’t understand.

I always enjoy it when someone retweets some crazy thing that reflects their true views when they probably meant to like it.

Dunno about you, but I was really worried about morale at Harvard. 🙄 www.boston.com/news/...

How did I get into a highly specialized field marked by egregious managerial bias towards hiring from fancy schools and consulting? I got lucky. I'd previously worked for a company that had an opening requiring familiarity with their business more than pedigree or expertise.

Running for governor of Rhode Island just so I can demand a parade of frozen-lemonade trucks.

I shouldn't have eaten that second bowl of pasta because it will make running very unpleasant.

I had a boss once who was a combat veteran. In the corner of the whiteboard in his office he listed the initials and dates of death of everyone he served with who died by suicide after coming home. Every couple years another person would appear on the list. As you were.

Every comic creator's obituary is like, he created this iconic character who was in a movie that made $700 million last year. He died with a net worth of $12 after the publisher countersued him.

Well, well, well: Not so easy to win a playoff series when your opponent doesn't play like crap and have their best player doesn't blow out his Achilles, now is it? #Knicks

I've been having intrusive thoughts all evening about what a bravura performance Steve Carrell would give if he played King Lear.
