My favorite detail in Superman Adventures is that they use the same the golden age color pallet of backgrounds.

I just read Busiek’s Vampirella: Morning in America which he credits as being the moment he became a “writer” and I can see why he feels that way. Absolutely stunning. You can feel that he loved writing and researching for this.

Millar keeps blowing me away man, genuinely one of the best Bizarro stories. It's actually a perfect modern take on his first Silver age appearance, so so good

an unpublished Al Plastino piece 💜 he was still thinking about Superman’s GF Lois Lane in 2009 he was so #real 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↔️✨

🥂✨

Thinking about how much Superman: Unchained rules

I love the idea of Lex truly being equal in power and potential to Superman with the difference being taking Action. It’s a take that I believe really comes from Maggin but thrives under Morrison who allows Superman to take the reins more.

Vampirella #18, Warren Publishing

Vampirella and Kal 🤔 Dracula and Jor-El 🤔 Drakulon and Krypton 🤔

blueskys adult content filter is actually such shit at recognizing if something is ‘adult’ or not. A woman just has to have large breasts, doesn’t matter that they’re covered, and it will mark it. Ridiculous.

“I love you… more than anything on earth… but not more than the memory of Drakulon. […] My life isn’t mine to give. I have a duty to survive […] Because no one remembers but me”

found in Vampirella (1969) Issue #007 published by Warren Comics

liking Loeb’s so much really surprised me but doing an ode to Archie Goodwin and Vampirella with Tim Sale art was actually really inspired !!!

also enjoyed this a lot! it definitely benefitted from being a collection of different authors individual takes on Vampirella. the stand out stories to me were Busiek’s “Bugs”, Loebs’s “Looking for Mr Goodwin” (this one surprised me), Golden’s “Matinee” & Hester’s “Ink”. Only had 1 complaint…

Lois with a sword 🗡️ >>>

“Matinee” by Michael Golden and Steve MnMoorn (Vampirella Masters Series #4)

People who say smallville lex is their favorite, but then opposing Clark and Lex being childhood friends confuse me

I really enjoyed this!!! The Vampirella Monthly issues 1-6 were great and the ending was executed incredibly well. I’d describe the run as a compelling story of motherhood & sisterhood. With great commentary on mortality as well scattered throughout.

oomfies im curious how do you use the word aired? for context if someone said to me someone got aired my response would be “oh shit what’d they say?” bc in my life i hear it used as “air a bitch out” “her shit got aired” etc… I’m curious what you think it means, I’m hearing ppl use it as ignored.
