They’re trained to do this, they do that all the time in Brazil. The US paid over 2 million dollars to train our cops on how to fuck up protestors back in 2014.

Now, tell me: why would your government spend 2,2 MILLION DOLLARS of YOUR TAXPAYER MONEY (yep, you paid for this) from 2012 to 2014 to train our cops on how to fuck us up? I’m sure gear was sold, but I wonder, were we lab rats? Did they test the tactics on us and are now using it on you?

yall really need to wake up, this is training, it’s not an “impulse” I wonder if he went for her ankle or knee to try to give her a limp/put on a wheelchair cops aim on purpose all the time during protests in LATAM countries (and yalls black neighborhoods too) who do you think trained our cops?

Brazil recognizes Palestine as a SOVEREIGN TERRITORY since 2010. They TOOK ONE OF US in INTERNATIONAL waters. THAT’S NOT THEIR LAND AND NOT THEIR PEOPLE. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK

The reason I’m “dismissive” it’s bc clearly whataboutism. The conversation is about not allowing racist rhetoric to be considered free speech. However, if you’re merely curious about Brazilian police brutality or racial disparities, I can point you to good resources. All in Portuguese, of course.

Brazil, like many LATAM countries, has a problem with police brutality because of its history with military dictatorship (which had their coups paid for by US taxpayer dollars). But we ain’t gonna GO BACK on the little progress we did make, that would be insane. If you don’t see that, then welp.

There is no “instead”. The judge is doing her job. This case was in her workload, she followed the law (which was passed as a form of pushing back against racism and that has produced results, btw) and gave the verdict. For some reason, the verdict upset you. That’s a you problem.

I think it would be like an actor that only ever does a SS agent and repeatedly praises the holocaust on stage or something like that. Repeatedly. And that’s the script. The end. Like, how long can you pretend to be an artist just to commit crimes on a stage and profit off of it?
comment in response to post
It’s also like there are SO MANY of these. It’s all he does. Racism laws are rarely ever used against comedians, bc artistic speech is protected (unless u’re black and talking abt drugs, but anyways), but this man is relentless. The judge was like: wait a minute, where are the jokes?

LIKE???
comment in response to post
bet you he’s gonna appeal and get away scotch free, specially after this international far-right cry this is just the first verdict i hope the judge doesn’t get harassed by far-right ghouls, it has happened before

I’m waiting for you to finish your thought process. Surely this ain’t all of it. Surely you don’t mean “Brazil is still a racist country, therefore, comedians get to tell racist jokes and feed into it even more”?????
