I remember watching Star Trek as a child, the first one, yes, a Desiliu production and I long for those feelings of hope for the future. I remember asking my parents if Quebec would dig a ditch around its boundaries when René Levesque was elected. Were things simpler back then?

I know this feeling...we as an information consuming public have been led down a path to " choose sides". I am not particularly fond of hearing bad things about my chosen elected officials but the feeling of wanting to be on the good side of things compels me to keep watching and learn everything.

I just watched this and when, broken down to a simpler form, as you did, the facts scare me. We are influenced so much by the US recruitment tactics. Young millenial men, are being manipulated with simple concepts, such as dehumanizing women by calling then females, just like Worf in Star Trek TNG.
