Anything man made that is being reclaimed by nature. The most profound one I ever saw was in a forest in Belgium, what I thought were just random small hills amongst the trees were actually craters from artillery fire from one of the world wars.

Theoretically I was allowed to ride my bike down the street but not past the corner at one end or the intersection at the other. But I had a Nintendo so going outside was something I was forced to do.

Why does he hate Mondays? He's a cat, he doesn't have a job, he doesn't have anywhere to be.

Thing I love about this country is that we speak to any wild animal that is causing a ruckuss like it's a housepet. Blokes be going up to snakes in their houses like "Oi, whatcha doin there dickhead? Out ya get!"

Us Aussies have a very live and let live approach to our native animals. People who were victims of shark attacks will just go "Yeah nah, it was his ocean and I was swimming in it eh?"

Somewhere in my archives was a picture of a gas station sign near the New Mexico border that proclaimed the store had "Guns, Ammo, Lotto, Beer".

Get a pin. Get a match or lighter, heat up the end, doesn't have to be white hot or anything but hot. Next touch the hot end to the nail above the dark spot. Just touch on and off, don't hold or press. Keep touching in the same spot, it'll melt through your nail til the pressure releases.

In a new live cross from the LA No Kings protest just now, the reporter on the ground has pointed out that police claims of having rocks thrown at them seem at odds with the fact they have been there all day and not seen anything like that.

This shit tastes like I'm drinking the syrup that gets mixed with carbonated water inside the soda fountain. Fookin mingin!

Watching it live on the news here in Australia, it was a UFC sponsorship and the presenter nearly broke down laughing. Oh and they are also pointing out the bigger crowds at the No Kings protests, almost gleefully. Guess they're still sore about that Aussie journalist being shot in LA.

Yeah I once paid like $100 for the Qantas lounge at LAX but it was worth if for having a half day wait, free beer ;3

That news networks here still play the full clip of the Aussie reporter getting shot by a riot cop in LA is either opening peoples eyes or confirming what they already knew. People here don't seem to be falling for the pro-Trump media line like they used to.

My Dads draft dodging plan was to go bush to grow weed in the Dandenong Ranges for the motorcycle club he was a prospect for. Vietnam ended before he turned 18, but he still went and did it anyway.

Nana lived with us for the last 20 years of her life. Bold and the Beautiful was her show and 4:30pm weekdays she had an iron grip on that remote.

Back when my nana was going deaf but before she admitted it and got hearing aids, she used to turn up the TV all the way when we were at work. I'd get home at 4:30 and from the driveway through closed windows I'd hear the opening theme to The Bold and the Beautiful blaring like a rock concert.

In anthros they'd be a vestigial remnant of when their ancestors walked on all fours I'd imagine.

My Nanas house used to back onto a freeway embankment. The sounds of traffic passing in the distance, especially big trucks, always comforts me.

Suppose if you go from the 1930s noise and sparks factory to the Pacific Theatre it's not much worse sound wise. Other than people shooting at you. Still take it from someone who was born with hearing loss, you can't "break in" hearing, it just gets worse.
