Purely manufactured to put the frighteners on judges after the Trump administration has lost several cases recently.

Are we allowed to call them fascists now?

They want to return the USA to the 50s .... The 1850s

It would do in a functional democracy.
But I have my doubts whether it will even move the needle . A third of the USA are full willing members of a cult. A third live in wilful ignorance. And the remainder seem stunned by how quickly the country has fallen into authoritarianism.

They should copy the UK where every cabinet position has a shadow spokesperson in the opposition. Their job is to cover the brief of the cabinet member in depth and book themselves onto media to critique the government and offer alternative policies.

Remember when MAGA cared about the price of eggs?
They no doubt don't care a fig about it now because daddy Trump has told them they're are freedom eggs and they should be glad to pay more.
It's a personality cult worshipping a moron.

The USA average life expectancy is 78 compared to @ 82 average amongst other comparable countries.
In the UK, it's 82 and we spend 40% less ,as a proportion of GDP, than the USA on healthcare.
Canada's average life expectancy is 83.

It's not just the red cap wearing MAGA morons.
Consistently, Dem governments have produced higher markets, decreased deficits, lower unemployment but somehow the GOP is seen as good on the economy.

Perhaps we should also ban foreign ownership of our media and stop giving seats in our Parliament to sons of KG officers

So the company that gave Trump £1 million donation for his inauguration has lost £250 billion.
The richest 10% own 93% of all stocks in the USA.
They were willing to risk electing a moron rather than risk paying a cent more in tax.

The EU, UK and many countries don't allow growth hormones to be used in rearing cattle used for our food.
Nor do we allow chicken to be washed in chlorine.
This is not to do with tariffs but USA low safety standards with food.

And with USA tariffs the superior Miele will now cost the same as a Whirlpool.

I believe Arson of His Majesty's Docks and jumping a queue are the only 2 capital offences left here in the UK.
Only joking - you most probably get a suspended sentence if no-one was injured in the arson attack.

Trump has effectively placed sanctions on the USA. Not seen such economic stupidity since we Brits did the same with Brexit.

Trump's tarrifs will be, in effect, the largest self-sanction since we Brits voted for Brexit.

Agree. Use Amazon as a search engine. Look for small businesses. Then go look if they have a website outside of Amazon. Purchase direct.

Don't use, or at least cut down on the use of Amazon.
Other online retailers are frequently cheaper and you don't need everything next day.

Appeasing bullies never works. Trump will see Starmer as weak and will demand more in the future.
It seems that these tax cuts the USA tech companies will be paid by attacking disability payments.
Shameful.

Seems that the Labour government is only tough with disabled people.

GOP politicians are very brave when they are uncited sources with journalists.
Every GOP politician with a backbone by now has either left or been expelled from the party.

Since Thatcher every government, Tory & Labour, has seen the solution to our economic problems as give more money to the rich and private companies whilst cutting public services and punishing the poor.
It's about time we tried a different approach

As a Brit, why would the EU trust us after 14 years of Tories railing against anything with the word "Europe" in its title and a national press and television that allows Farage seemingly unlimited coverage.

Musk designed, with the Cybertruck, a vehicle that doesn't meet UK or EU safety measures and is so heavy that it can't be driven with a standard car licence in most European countries.
Then charged Americans 100k for a vehicle that fell apart because it was glued together.

Every checkout in Wales seems to be a "slow checkout". We are a very chatty nation 😁
