I think I've figured it out. What the big difference between #Overwatch and #MarvelRivals is. Power fantasy. Throughout the decades, Marvel (and DC) Comics have cultivated this. Overwatch just wanted to be a fun game that told a story. MR managed to do the former w/o trying hard at the latter.
