fuck

this is actually a great demonstration of why i strongly disagree with the take that men don't suffer under patriarchy because now you have these dipshits who think trans men are uniquely oppressed compared to cis men and that means they can be bad to trans women

i do like when the random MRA hits me with the misandry allegations. crazy shit for a gay trans man to be

there's a line where repeating "i don't like X" to anyone who will listen ceases to be an expression of a boundary, and becomes an implicit insistence that the normalization of X feels like it violates that boundary. which. no, it doesn't, you're just a reactionary. grow up.

reposting halfway through reading this because it's already kicking my ass

This article isn't for men like me, but I still feel like I learned something reading it. Check it out

This is raw and unwitholding and powerfully stated, and it seems like it’s resonating with other trans guys on here. There are echoes of some of the frustrations and internal imbroglios I’ve heard about from friends. It’s also just worth engaging with on its own terms

This is a really thought-provoking essay. I actually found part iv. Male Privilege to be the most eye-opening section to me. Especially when it comes to that weird experience of “I expected my life to get easier after passing as a guy but I actually became susceptible to a lot more violence?”.

This is a strikingly good essay. It’s quite a long read but very worthwhile. Thank you, Isaac, for putting this out here for us all.

The thing about trans women is that we are so much the Grotesquerie of Society that you can simply make up anything you want about us regardless of whether it has literally any basis anywhere (I have never once seen a trans woman express the below sentiment) and everyone cheers you on.

You know what infuriates me deeply? How victims of abuse have to prove their rationality. This request directly plays into abusers hands and I’m so so sick of it. Abusers don’t need to convince people, they only need doubt. Doubt immobilizes those who could help.

“this trans woman you’ve never heard of before? they’re awful! I hate them! they’re a grifter!” what did she do? “this person, who I cant believe you’re defending, took selfies! and spoke aloud of the forbidden trans existence!” … “disney, brave allies they are, would be right to execute her”

Heard that Talia is writing a story about trans women misgendering themselves and each other :/// As her co-author, I can't let this stand without also contributing!!

what could Talia have possibly meant by this ... idk if I can follow her anymore :-/

say the word, chat "epistemicide"

Good Essay

this is incredibly well written and hugely personal. read it.

Damn @tpwrtrmnky.bsky.social I think we may have to release the chapter early after all lol

When I see you all complaining about Lily Tino I remember just how quickly your tunes on Dylan Mulvaney all changed the second she got surged up. What is it she's done so wrong? Seriously?

The mask is in tatters, has been pissed on, set on fire, pissed on again, then finally shoved into a landfill of shit. Though I refuse to seriously entertain the notion that "reasonable centrists" actually believed the "trans people will not lose any rights" nonsense.

I'm a transsexual radical feminist, otherwise known as a tradfem--wait shit no fuck fuck fuck give me a mulligan

This feels like a long angry scream. Please check it out.

Isaac's perspective on gender discourses and especially on trans activism, liberation, and epistemicide is always a breath of fresh air and a joy to engage with. Our episode with him on Halberstam's 'Female Masculinity' is in the works and will hopefully be available for a listen soon!

Absolutely without hyperbole - this is the only piece I’ve ever read on the experience of trans men that matches my own, to an eerie extent. I am still crying after reading it, feeling truly seen for one of the first times. I will recommend this at every opportunity I can. Please take a read.

Thoughtful and powerful essay about patriarchy and activism, from the hard-earned wisdom of a trans man 🔥✊🏽

An incredible essay, absolutely worth the time.

You might even say that exerting control over children--over "the future" as ideologues see it--is the core animating impulse for MANY reactionary projects: patriarchal, racialized, nationalist ...

Reading this right now It's really good, you should read it too!

A gut wrenching essay that has given me much to thank about.

Thank you for your support!! This will significantly improve my summer, as I continue to be an underemployed refugee living without government assistance. Many other contributors are in similarly precarious situations, so at >$200 per contributor, this bundle will be of great help to all of us
