I based it on a variety of general wiki-like sources. It would be “easy” to test…! Have you info to the contrary - are they mimics of a distasteful model? Have you ever seen them preyed upon by a generalist predator? They are my fav. GHop look after Dactylotum bicolor.

Love it! Am I seeing an ectoparasitic dipteran feeding from the moth's forewing on the left? As I look through many of my recent Ecuador photos, many of the moths are hosting these little blood-suckers.
