My dog knows the cyclone is coming. He's been behaving like a shield between me or my wife and the rest of the yard all day. Even now - when he's normally on the couch getting a sook - he's outside with me laying a foot away between me and the trees and watching them.

I can’t decide between bow and dual blades in #mhwilds. On the one hand, bow is kind of my main weapon, but on the other I suck at getting tail cuts with it. For dual blades my main issue is that I have to be close to the monster and also stamina upkeep is a pain right now.

According to Capcom, the title of the game Sidearms is actually pronounced "sidearm", and the katakana for the title is written that way. Pronouncing it the way they spell the title in English in the logo going all the way back to the arcade is incorrect. That's not a joke. That one's real.

Does anyone recognise this instrument? Scale length about 405mm, floating bridge. The slots in the nut and bridge are all the same width, to fit the fishing-line strings. It looks like a learner or tourist instrument from a professional maker: expensive tools, cheap materials, serviceable finishing.
