Sounds like somebody read him a story about what happened the last time Canada and the U.S. fought.

Sketch for #mermay (back to physical media as soon as circumstances permit)

Sorry, but if you don’t think the truest rival for the Jays isn’t the Texas Rangers, then I don’t even know what we’re doing here.

This is maybe the sweetest thing I ever read

The average Canadian has three friends.

Zuck: The average American has three friends.

So WEIRD that in fact, for several years, doctors did NOT need to know how to treat measles because measles had been eliminated!

Come on

If I was a politician who lost a seat in this election and I had a sheet cake available to me, I would simply hide myself away for a week and eat all of it.

Losing big to Behind a Paywall, but Election Night Pizza could be a spoiler here.

I gotta get away from social media and the election results for a bit, so I’m gonna go for a late night walk, but I kind of think that if advanced polls haven’t been counted, things could drastically change given how large advanced voter turnout was.

I love Chantal Hebert.

God, the news out of this tragedy at the Lapu-Lapu Day festival in Vancouver is so, so brutal and horrible and upsetting. www.cbc.ca/news/canada/...

Elections Canada says that no polling locations in Ontario will be open past the scheduled 9:30 p.m. closure time. But voters who are in line before 9:30 will be able to vote regardless of how long the line is. www.thestar.com/rolling-file...

Fun fact: I’ve had a recurring dream that I ignored an entire semester’s worth of lectures and assignments SO OFTEN that I almost convinced myself that I failed a class, even though I KNOW that isn’t true. Also, the last time I was in school was almost 25 years ago. Thanks brain.

I saw Sinners last night and thought — while watching it — that it will be revered as a classic. The last time I felt that way was while watching Get Out. And before that, Mad Max: Fury Road. So my track record on these things is great and you should see it. It slaps.

Elbows up! 🎶 body breaaaak! 🎶 www.cbc.ca/player/play/...

Movie you’ve watched more than six times using gifs (“Hard mode” no Star Wars, Star Trek, or LOTR)

My haul from Independent Bookstore Day at Book City in the Beaches:

I was unaware that the U.S. was “taking care of every aspect” of my life.

This is one of those big blinking indicator stories that is going to be a big fucking problem two months from now.

To be fair, you DO gotta watch these guys for at least three days.

I have calmed down about this after prescribing myself one Cadbury Creme Egg.

Went to the doctor Monday, didn’t realize I had no refills on a prescription I take daily, so I didn’t ask. Went to the pharmacy IN THE CLINIC to pick up the prescription I had asked to be refilled online two days earlier, they tell me this, then say there’s a fee for renewals outside appointments.

Can’t get over what an insane take this is. You’re fired because AI can do your job faster and we don’t need to worry about how it feels. Followed by: You OK, Mr. Robot? Need anything? A day off? Health care? How’s your mental wellbeing? Fuck all the way off. Does the NYT ever NOT accept a pitch?

lol. No.
