We're going to lose the Pope at the worst possible time. I know the Vatican doesn't have that much influence, or at least not in the same way, as it used to & God knows, I don't agree with all of this Pope's stances, but he has been an advocate for empathy & tolerance in a time where both are rare.

It occurred to me that firing thousands of highly skilled, highly knowledgeable people, some of whom had access to highly secret information, and now have grievances and an urgent need for money, might be considered a security risk. Like, a big one.
