I questioned it as well. Thought maybe it was a real number until I saw many others posting 5-6 mil. Realized.

I will have to read it. I “follow” them but am always suspicious. I questioned their No Kings numbers when they were so much higher than other numbers. Bad example maybe.

Same!

Why did they use a photo of a guy in a January 6th hat?!?!

How has he been a peacemaker?!? Wow.

The problem here is that if he voted for it, he could have some say. Persuade others maybe. But this way he leaves it all in the hands of a mad man.

Yeah, what about the “complete control of the skies” comment? I think we may be at war already. With no congressional involvement at all.

I read there is almost no way he can produce a phone in the US for that cost. But he will likely pocket the money anyway.

Interesting that he hasn’t focused on Boston. Maybe small potatoes to him. Yet red states flew them in to Boston and Martha’s Vineyard as “punishment.”

Seems like Padilla should have been more prepared to push back as well? Didn’t see it so not sure. That is NOT the only way we see disapproval.

I guess Hogg is not running again.

Do the National Guard members now have hotel rooms??

I just wish you all would stop joining the Nazi platform! There are others out there. I really don’t want to give them any money. Sigh.

And a crypto bill that helps Trump! Why don’t they get it? Or maybe they do and it benefits them, too. Sigh.

Isn’t this the board that RFK, Jr. just “fired” all its members? To replace with his own picks?

They can carry the flag of Mexico. It doesn’t matter. And CA used to be part of Mexico.

And I believe his memo/order for National Guard was not state specific either.

I thought this already happened earlier today. Was hoping this was the suit over the Marines.
comment in response to post
Not blaming you but I see reporting of 500 and 700. Which is it? In addition they said 2000 National Guard could be sent and I see reporting of 300 National Guard are there. Each news report is different. Sigh.
comment in response to post
Now add Marines to that…
comment in response to post
Ok, it says 300 were deployed. But it also says that they did “defend” the federal building against a small group of protestors by shooting rubber bullets and using canisters. So I guess they did do something in “defense” of the building.
comment in response to post
Now they need to amend to add Marines OR file a separate law suit.
comment in response to post
Illegally sending them. AND the National Guard allegedly can’t engage in law enforcement activities so they only stood to defend the federal building(s). So 700 more to stand around looking tough while CA didn’t ask for it.
comment in response to post
Others are reporting 700 Marines. Sigh.
comment in response to post
It’s my understanding that the National Guard have not been policing, but just standing in defense of the federal building (or buildings-to protect federal officers as well). Won’t the Marines do the same? If they go. They won’t engage with people. I hope.
comment in response to post
I also read somewhere that there were only 300 National Guard. Is that true? Or were 2000 sent?
comment in response to post
So the National Guard had to just stand around the federal building(s) to defend and could engage like law enforcement. They did nothing. Now it should be the same for the Marines. So what’s the point? Where are they going to stand/go? If they obey and go, that’s all they will do. Not needed.
comment in response to post
Can you confirm the 2000 national guard? He said that but then I saw articles saying there were 300 in LA. Did he send others to suburbs? Trying to figure it out. Thanks!
comment in response to post
Sigh. Because he has now been charged with a felony. I assume they will have a bail hearing? Not sure where this is all at. Horrible. Corrupt.
comment in response to post
I thought there was no violent response? Isn’t that just their propaganda?
comment in response to post
So the 2000 already decreased to 300? It’s a start.
comment in response to post
That headline seems misleading. There was no escalation other than by Trump.
