Agree, except for the ones that retire at any age 50+ and sit in front of the TV for the next 20-40 years. I'm related to quite a few.

If the deal requires the UK to eliminate all human rights laws as has been demanded, this dual US/UK citizen says the man can take his deal and shove it. We have enough problems over here without his trifling self. πŸ™„πŸ™„

I grew up in middle GA in a mostly segregated town (even in the 80s & 90s) under the damn Confederate flag. Now, I live in the UK with my mixed race family. Some Brits think the flag is cool. Or... But I'm also haunted by the racism in the US and globally. It's the thing that holds us all back.

Please could we bring back Reading Rainbow? No other theme song has taken up more space in my head over my lifetime! πŸ“–πŸŒˆπŸ’š

I met with my MP last week. He is not representing a number of his constituents in regards to a particular bill. He is voting along party lines and rolling his eyes at us. I will not vote for him when he comes up for re-election. I hate that the longer I'm in the UK, it's becoming more like the US.

My kids and I moved an earthworm out of the middle of the road and into a woodsy area. I might've chided it a bit: "Darlin', you can't be here! It's not safe for you!"

The one decent thing that man did in his first term was pause student loan payments and interest. I guess he forgot, though he did promise this administration would be about retribution, so....

We had an unexploded bomb found in our local UK town a couple of years ago. Some amateur metal detector found it in a local body of shallow water right in the middle of town. It happens more than one might think.

I live abroad and am aware of a movement among Americans abroad to renounce US citizenship. Me? I need an escape route at all times, along with a voice.

It's already global. Remember the many thousands of Americans living abroad -- many on federal dollars. Think about how they contribute to their communities, and how they can't with no money.

There's a Netflix documentary for that. I screamed. A lot.

@altnih4science.bsky.social with all the madness, will NIH patients be notified if their studies are shut down? How long do we think the pharmacy will be available? I'm so so so sorry for everyone there and want to wave a magic wand to fix it.
