I hope not, but the current administration has a similar brand to Trump and is constantly complaining about "the institutions" not letting them govern, so who knows? I don't even think they got much out of accepting the first group.

Over ten years ago, we submitted a paper using a Bayesian analysis and the referees kept on demanding p-values. It was published after the editor accepted our emails explaining why it didn't make sense to produce them. And I am of the 'whatever works' persuasion of statistics.
