Spring break is here! Don’t effing spread measles!

Sucky of course, but I’m also not holding my breath that there will be much a response from the White House as MN (well the metro and pockets in the North) is a blue state.

COVID ISN’T GONE SO STOP TALKING ABOUT IT IN THE PAST TENSE.

Girl Scout troop 6000 is made up of girls living in shelters jn NYC. They have a special going on now through March 9th where if you order at least 6 boxes, you get free shipping! digitalcookie.girlscouts.org/scout/sixk34...

Friendly reminder that it’s okay to hate people.

Hello Bluesky. Regular route bus service and Metro micro service is resuming now. Delays and detours are anticipated while we work to safely get back on schedule. Use NexTrip and Show My Bus to track estimated departures and bus locations in real time. Light rail service continues as normal.

Might as well re-share my mom’s gofundme while we’re here. The lovely lady in the picture is currently undergoing treatment for colon cancer. www.gofundme.com/f/support-je...

Healthcare systems shouldn’t be allowed to bill you before they’ve figured all their ish out with the insurance companies.

Parenting milestone: my toddler sneezed in my open mouth for the first time! 🙃

Who’s your favorite of the Welsh 5 and why is it Cory

Spinal surgery should come with a service that comes to your house and puts everything at elbow level real quick lol.

My toddler is asking for a bowl of honey for an afternoon snack 😂

Please consider donating to Sam’s family as they navigate the aftermath of his murder. www.gofundme.com/f/urgent-hel...

I didn’t realize til just this moment that places like the resorts on White Lotus are real 😂

Pain aside, the thing about this neuro problem that’s freaky is the whole “the issue and the treatment can paralyze you, it’s normal to not feel entire parts of your body and we don’t know if you ever will again” Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

In case I missed anything extraordinary while I’m revisiting my syllabus: any recommendations for youth literature that highlights social justice published in the last 2 years that you loved? 📚

I was definitely the youngest person at the neurology clinic today. Lots of types of seating and zero stairs. A+ design.

I need there to be more politicians who are brave.

Tuberculosis killed 1/4th of Europe not too long ago. We are now in the largest TB outbreak in U.S. history. A man who doesnt believe in vaccines is now the head of our country’s public health. The U.S. ERADICATED measles 25 years ago. It’s now surging. RFK Jr. called it fake.

Once again asking white people to confront the fact that their choice to not wear a mask anymore is directly tied to white supremacy www.pewresearch.org/politics/202...

Does this mean flares are back?!

Omg now my mom is in the hospital 😩 if anyone has some good luck to spare my family, we’ll take whatever we can get!

It’s been a week since I was last able to pick up my newborn and I’ve got a minimum of 5 more weeks until I can again. Physical pain aside, this is an incredibly difficult part of my recovery 😭

Whoever decided that there is a limit on FMLA should be required to come help my family and every family that has more than one event happen in a 12 month span.

There’s just so much everything right now.

Everything sucks except for that guy on tiktok that gets himself diner pancakes as a treat every Friday.

Sitting at the point where I’m starting to realize just how serious my surgery was and how long recovery will be. The modern medicine part of it is fascinating, the realization of what I can and can’t do is difficult. Learning quickly about adaptable clothing and just how long 5 min of walking is 😂

I definitely read enough historical fiction as a kid to believe I can be an excellent homesteader. I truly believe I could set up a mill by a little creek 😂

Finally home from the hospital after having emergency spinal surgery. Worst pain ever. Truly. Would not recommend. I also can’t pick up my baby for 6 weeks! But I’m feeling so much better and can feel my right leg for the first time in like a month 😬

I have to fast but still pump milk. They’re gonna roll me out of this hospital looking like a golden raisin

So appreciative of all the work the we here team does 🙏🏽

lol my hospital roommate is in her 90s and telling her life story and it’s aaaaaaamazing. Such scandal. Such sass.

In the ER and everyone is throwing up. Bleh. Also there are no rooms and just a bunch of people in the hallways. Wear your masks please everyone! You don’t wanna be here!

Worried about public health being dismantled? Wear a mask. Worried about Medicare/Medicaid? Wear a mask. Worried about the surveillance state? Wear a mask. Interested in peaceful protest? Wear a mask. Truly wearing a mask is the best way to safeguard your health AND show resistance & solidarity

For the millionth time and for so many reasons: please stop asking people where they are really from.

I was wondering why Bad Bunny was looking extra cute recently and then I realized that with his hair and facial hair grown out a bit he looks an awful lot like my husband 😂

Just an interesting little nugget: Starting last week, the CDC has been having everyone in the US who is hospitalized with influenza A be tested for H1N1 www.cdc.gov/locs/php/mes...

Libraries are full of staff who are on board with these EOs and the direction things are going. It’s not a secret, it’s just not talked about by the people it should be.

Me: I’m feeling some kind of way and need a good cry. It would be cathartic. My body: *develops debilitating sciatica*

Absolutely living for all the videos of people in New Orleans experiencing a big snow!

Today, the CDC did not post a weekly update to its figures tracking how many Americans have gotten this season's COVID-19 and influenza vaccines Under the previous administration, these figures were published virtually every Wednesday by 1 p.m. www.cdc.gov/covidvaxview...

For Minneapolis folks, Unidos is hosting a training on 2/6 for people to be legal witnesses and participate in rapid response to support immigrant communities. Details here: bit.ly/4j8tZ5E
