First time in a calendar year it was a bad idea to sit Joey Ortiz and of course I did 😂

Despite the terrible offense. They've lead in the 6th inning or later in 7 games this year. Couldn't even fix the cheapest and easiest thing to fix in baseball. All while having arguably their best relievers in AAA, in Nicolas, Burrows, and Ashcraft.

At least he's not in the Skenes Situation with Adam Frazier, and Tommy Pham playing 80% of the time

They are still missing half their lineup

Hit in the big leagues

Never start a command pitcher in their Debut.

They all pitch. The human body isn't made for that. Problem Solved 😂

ERA is a horrible representation of skil though.

He was throwing off a mound, so he was fully back from surgery. His elbow and lat should be able to ramp up at the same time.

It sure seemed like the last couple years they decided on a 'team approach' and were trying to make everyone comply. I'm hoping they're more in a Tailor an approach to the hitters skills zone now.

Only spring. But seems like there is a lot more swinging before 2 strikes by the entire team. New hitting coach might be making a difference for the young guys.

I still don't think so, honestly. I think he's way more likely to cede his rotation spot to literally anyone else in May, than to ever be usable.
comment in response to post
No. Ks are a category. The Nats infield defense stinks so his whip will likely also suck. Era and Ws are the most Volatile categories for an SP. He literally does nothing you can count on in fantasy
comment in response to post
Do you expect him to pitch in relief? Take falter's rotation spot? Or is he just coming in to manipulate service time for Chandler, Harrington and Ashcraft??
comment in response to post
At least they're adding a decent player to manipulate the service time of Chandler, Harrington, and Ashcraft. Could be worse

I sat through a few hours of rain to watch some sun belt college ball on Sunday lol

It's Bonds. Bonds is the only acceptable answer

I think you underestimate how many people are willing to blame women and non white, non christian people for everything regardless of evidence

It definitely is. Happy birthday!

I don't think adding another below average player to the already incredibly large collection of below average players is cause for celebration.
comment in response to post
Because settling for maybe one of these players we acquired for a pack up gum will be good is not working.
comment in response to post
Celebrate? Is there anything left worth celebrating? The last player that had any hope of being a regular just signed in Cincy

Ranger .. got healthy 🤣

Braxton Ashcraft I think the pirates will put him in the pen because there simply isn't room in the rotation and he'll slowly work his way from mop up to leverage.

The more QB play I watch. The more I'd like Seattle to stick with Geno, for at least 1 more year. I just simply don't think there is a better immediate replacement

Micah Parsons the sequel

My concern is that he doesn't even have enough power to be a consistent gap to gap hitter. It sure looks like in September last month he was getting the bat knocked out of his hands
comment in response to post
My concern is where is the power coming from? He's 27 with bad bat speed. And the most concerning this about his 2024 for me is that when the zone rate went up his xWOBA plummeted to well below average. When the way to get someone out is to throw strikes. It's a really bad sign

Is Horwitz meaningful?
comment in response to post
There is also 0 chance that all 3 of Skenes, Jones, and Chandler are all on the Pirates in 2028, which has to be the center of this projection.

Can't have an NFL offense with a pass rate that high. Defenses won't respect a non existentant run game that much. Especially when it can't be explosive
