They're not just "falling for it.” That wasn’t a plausible explanation in the fall of 2020 when Rufo publicly announced he was using “Critical Race Theory” as a demonizing tool against “wokeism” and the nation’s opinion leaders all helped him create an anti-“CRT” frenzy - and it certainly isn’t now.

The fact that most of these people have never committed a crime is a feature, not a bug. They want everyone who lacks legal status to know this could happen to them. This, or whatever fucked up version of this that they come up with next. And remember, he also wants to do this to citizens.

2/ to the Iraq War. More than anything it is a sign that there actually is no central reason or strategy. You have a central drive, driven by a man who hates trade deficits, thinks you can only be great and strong and rich by building machinery of some scale and lives on the need to dominate.
