Maybe. But he's just dim enough to decide to stay on "the Big Beautiful Boat"!

"...why does it feel so empty?" Funny, I was about to say the same about Slate...at least since Michael Kinsley was running things.

I left early today, but will see you tomorrow at noon. We'll do lunch.

On the east/Atlantic coast of Florida, you can see them gliding by, close to the top of the water, without moving a wing. An amazing sight.

Reading the comments, I can tell you're in Carmel, California and not Carmel, Indiana (an up scale "edge city" of Indianapolis) That's a relief!

I was going to ask "why?", but I imagine in cases like this, those who say don't know and those who know won't say.

Sort of a shame he got rid of the Tesla...

"why is no one in the press asking..." is one of those evergreen posts.

We men knowingly whisper to each other "the great Gillette Conspiracy", then nod solemnly.

Now you're getting into that pesky and complicated "due process" thing, David...I think you answered your first question with the second.

Hmm...Los Angeles, now Austin (a relatively Liberal enclave in the red state of Texas). Am I seeing a pattern here?

They took a vote, and all the Waymo drivers decided to stay out of sight...

The importance of due process...the British soldiers involved were given their day in court, defended by John Adams.

"Crossfire"?! Doesn't that means fire coming from opposite directions? There is a difference in editorial leanings between Sky News UK and Sky News Australia...

I've been to Los Angeles a few times, but not enough to know my way around. The thing which amazes me the most is that a section of freeway can be shut down...even on a Sunday.

There are reports it will cost $millions just to reenforce the streets in DC. It makes me wonder how much damage is being done to the railroads and bridges between Texas and there.

My nephew was working at a sub shop in North Florida...a customer comes in, places his order, then says "but I don't want any of them N***** olives!" There is no good comeback to that.

What IS surprising is that Kennedy got his JD from U of VA and studied at Oxford in England. The Foghorn Leghorn accent is an affection of the worst kind.

"these are real people with real families you're hurting." I guess the "acting director" has no sense of irony...

Gotta give the man who wrote this credit for verbal efficiency...I know I couldn't fit that many lies into less than 30 actual words.

I'm not sure what Rep Mary Miller believes...this is the Freedom Caucus rep from rural Illinois. She said the Dobbs decision was an "historic victory for white life" and quoted Hitler in a speech to the conservative "Moms for America" group...just a girl next door type, I guess.

Who actually READS the news today? Maybe on line, but not from a newspaper...people hear the news, or see the news. Some may even ignore the news, oh boy!

Thanks for the update, Tracy. It's been years since I lived in Milford. The 4-5% sited is per Wikipedia...my friends in high school never worried about their INS status or that of their parents. And, none of us ever feared being swept up by Federal agents.

Milford, Massachusetts is a small town of 30,000 in Worcester County. Most of the residents are Irish, Portuguese or Italian. Some are citizen, some are not. The latest stats show about 4% are Hispanic. I graduated from High School there...and I'm proud of all of them.

Your first story was about Milford. I graduated from MHS, and I'm proud of the people there. The town has around 30,000 people, mostly of Irish and Italian descent. Between 4 and 5 percent are Hispanic: why are they targeted? The Globe now reports ICE was after the boy's father...OOOPS!

What a great job Ms Lyons has...she can offer press conferences, but can keep saying "I can't comment on that."

So Cat Turd is trademarked? Probably to keep the thousands of others vying for the right to call themselves cat turd from calling themselves Cat Turd...or Caturd.

I cried because I had to get a lawyer until I met a man who had no due process at all.
