In that moment I was like "FFFFFFUUUUCK IMPERIALISM FUCK THIS DUDE IN ROBES (fandaniel)" it got me HYPED thinking about all the lands I had visited up to that point in the story, all of the individual people that deserved to live and be free again

It's gotta be the original Castlevania for me. The only hard NES game I can beat

I don't have any playtime memories of it; there's no individual character or big moment I remember or anything like that. But walking through Cyrodiil now feels like returning to a forgotten dream I had when I was young. Virtual spaces are really weird and fascinating in that way

If you want to listen to wonderful remixes being made by a human frequently, listen to Bustello. They make amazing Synthwave Metroid remixes alongside other VGM covers and originals.

Make choices with intention, even after experimentation and happy accidents occur. When I'm adding in new ideas, of course I'm thinking about the listener's perspective and what would sound natural vs. jarring, as well as rules for this genre or that style—but at the end of the day it's *my* choice.

the leap into the stagger was euphoric. can't believe a game like this exists

It's such a classic Final Fantasy move to have a difficult fight with a secret easy strategy. Reminds me of Evrae Altana from FFX with the Phoenix Down trick.

Photos are from FFXIV. I was thinking about Gyr Abania's Fringes theme when first writing the opening guitar part, before it morphed into something different entirely.
