we have failed as a society to train people to communicate, the way we teach students to write (when we bother to) is the most bland, anodyne crap, all while making them go to college for reasons that even we can't explain beyond "you need it to get a job." Kids don't get why they're going.

We like to respond to "No one uses the bike lanes" with lots of data showing people do actually! But there's also a double standard: there are oceans of rural roads and cul de sacs that are used by extremely few cars, yet we don't question that they should exist or be maintained. #OBS2025

Item 1: A highway that will cost billions, take 20 years and contribute to the destruc....Approved! Item 2: A 3km mobility lane that will cost almost nothing, reduce traffic and align with our climate emerg..Do you have approval from every living and deceased resident in the city?

Accurate thread but sad that this is still the reality of just trying to bike to Do Things in most of 2025 America.

I don't live in Cleveland proper but am right on the line and visit the city very often. This mayor is amazing. A Vision Zero office and progressive thinking regarding transit and safety. 10/10 administration

Me, logging on to work after the long weekend

I accidentally read this story before bed and now you have to as well...

I love when drivers complain about giving cyclists a safe passing distance by saying it puts them into oncoming traffic. Have they considered waiting until there is no oncoming traffic?

"I never see anyone biking, why should we put in bike lanes?" I dunno, maybe because it's not very safe unless the road is closed for a parade?

the "strong republican party" that pelosi is always calling for is the one that voted to pass the destructive bill in the house last night. stop being accommodating to these people. do your jobs. fight them.

Today is the National Ride of Silence — a day where people across the nation gather to honor the many cyclists who have been injured or killed by road violence.

Today we share another project from the community for #MentalHealthAwareness month. Earlier this month we shared a forum thread using sunrise effects for alarms. 👉🏻 bsky.app/profile/home... Here's one for maintaining tasks on a dashboard 👇🏼

Unironically they should buy up the domains for about 60 defunct local newspapers in swing states. Hire two reporters to write almost exclusively about highschool sports and new restaurants opening with every 10th article about how the local GOP is screwing over people.

tech bro is short for technically broken

Pro: Being able to bike to the rock gym Con: It's mostly on a sharrow road where people regularly speed upwards of 50 MPH Mega Con: Biking home after learning that I have zero upper body strength during orientation

Self driving taxis cannot lift people's shopping, wheelchairs, buggies etc into and out of their boots, or assist you to and from your front door. The tech bros should be asked about this and so should the government at every opportunity.

Over 100,000 people are marching through The Hague against Israel's war on Gaza. Wearing red clothing and forming a line, they are demanding the government draw a red line in its stance against Israel. It's the largest protest in the Netherlands in 20 years.

kids literally wanted to grow up and be public servants because of Richard Scarry.

I've noticed a huge drop in posts/reposts in my feed lately and keep double checking that I still follow people.

I was speaking to a friend and invited him to a bike/ped advocacy meeting I'm organizing with our town planner. My friend said he didn't think he had anything to contribute, but then said his wife won't bike on roads in town because she feels unsafe. That's *exactly* what the town needs to hear!

Wait, so it was never about the children?
