The administration is removing phone support for Soc Security recipients. Making it more difficult for seniors to get their checks. It’s a back door way to cut SS benefits. Horrific. If you know anyone who is impacted, please help them get online to get their benefits approved

All right, fine. The second Trump administration as villains from the Batman TV show. Let's do this.

Less words, more dropkicking.

November: "I will fix it on day 1" March: "lol enjoy your recession idiots"

Skyway Lanes, the last Black-owned bowling alley in Chicago, is making a last-ditch effort to stay open

You can just hear the theme here...at least both of them

I’m pretty sure that my ex wife didn’t bat an eye here.

How’s this WSJ take aging

What in the ICG is this‽

This vehicle is paid off. Plz clap.

Re-writing history is a tool of political fraudsters everywhere. Trump is its keenest proponent. The birth of the European Community, later the EU, was actually actively supported by the US. The joint, transatlantic goal was to secure peace on the Continent. It was a specific vision of FDR.

The two follow up posts in this thread are VERY useful.

Worth noting that I had to get a titer test for work a few years ago & was VERY surprised to find I didn't have immunity (I had missed a booster somewhere along the way as a teen). Get boosted if you need to!

The turn tables have indeed turned.

Just thinking about this @rollingstone.com article again.

I’m very proud that the Morning Call, a local Lehigh Valley paper, published my op-ed on the risks of the Trump administration current actions to public health. “Here is a wise rule of thumb attributed to G.K. Chesterton: “Do not remove a fence until you know why it was put up in the first place.”

If I followed all the rules and worked hard, I would be rich and successful.

What’s getting lost in the coverage of this incident is the domestic violence. Cory Mills assaulted a woman. USATTY Martin, who is acting as the personal attorney to a serial abuser of women, is ignoring the warrant. B/c violence against women is completely acceptable in the Trump administration.

I think multiple elected officials just nonchalantly being like “Elon Musk is not a government employee and has zero authority so his words are basically toilet paper” would probably result in one of the most epic public breakdowns and illegal threats against federal officials we’ve ever seen

Looks like tomorrow will bring votes on a Republican plan to fund tax cuts for the rich by slashing Medicaid. So this is a great time to contact your Member of Congress.

Damn. I'll have to go find it and bring it here myself

Important!

The thing is, if we had a mayoral administration that was doing more to reduce the number of on-street parking spaces then private garage owners might conceivably do better, given higher demand. Just a mess from top to bottom.

If anyone missed them before - this is the last restock!

L.A. protestors, Bay Area Senator, and rail executives showed neither fear nor respect for Secretary Duffy's political show at LA's Union Station. cal.streetsblog.org/2025/02/20/p...

It’s not too late in making him the most miserable king of the jackasses in modern history

part of the plan in cancelling or curtailing money for CA HSR is that they want to steal as much money from California as possible to provoke a budget crisis and collapse of the state's finances in order to create leverage of the CA government to do what they want, and to make an example of us.

I intend to take a lengthy vacation.

For highway projects, states only pay 20% and federal government pays the rest, but for California High Speed Rail the ratio is flipped around - 80% comes from state government.

C'mon Kathy. Let em on!
