Existence is a hallucination caused by trying to stop the flow of process instead of just enjoying it. I actually made the same point about complex systems a few weeks ago, nominalism, which was too much for some people.

This is the problem with complexity science - people will pop up claiming they know how to make these islands and then sell you a holiday there.

My LLM only hallucinates when you look at it.

The tendency within Computer Science is to try and keep things still. We need to do this in order to map to still software structures. Language is always moving so the stillness is an illusion - a philosophical trick 2500 years old.

I think the Architect’s Paradox explains why the misconceptions are inevitable. The industry has been trained not to think outside of a certain box, change will be slow at first, then all at once.

My new book goes into detail on that, but not the AI part.

It’s like all that botched plastic surgery that seems to be fashionable. In 10 years everyone will be like ”ewww”. I look forward to the inevitable bonfire of the insanities.

Hopefully this book will shift things. The accompanying YouTube talk is about to hit 20,000 views in only 6 months. The audience is much bigger than the first book, which was for senior devs and architects. Exciting times. Expecting to release on the 28th.

Unfortunately she struggles with the water fountain and constantly has a wet head so I’m not sure genius is the right word….

She runs up to us and drops it in front of us like a dog!
