ICYMI: How the designer of Voidheart Symphony 2nd edition refined it to represent the importance of community in acts of rebellion.

It's live!!!!!!! Check out Voidheart Symphony - What Are You Fighting For? on @BackerKit! www.backerkit.com/c/projects/r...

Time to bring down the Castle. Crowdfunding for Voidheart Symphony - What Are You Fighting For?!

A Miniature Manifesto After some heavy deliberation I am embarking on a pretty ambitious project. I am making a 1:20 miniature Whirling-in-Rags from Disco Elysium, starting with Harry’s room. But in true Za/um style I have written a manifesto.

I'm not weighing in on the Nolan/Bond discourse, but as an aside if you ever wondered "what would an extremely horny, woman-directed film with a similar basic premise to Inception look like?", my friends you simply cannot go beyond Lithuanian filmmaker Kristina Buožytė's 2012 banger Vanishing Waves

My first game is out! 1. PREPARE YOUR MIND 2. ALLOW YOUR SUBCONSCIOUS TO FILL BLANKS 3. USE WORDS TO FILL DREAMS 4. READ YOUR DREAMS ALOUD 5. LISTEN, AND PONDER Dream Investigator is a reflective, Lynchian journaling game where you trust your own intuition and find your own meaning. Link below ☕

Okay this year seems to be the year of the beta testing year: 🧟Red Markets 2nd edition 🔪Blades '68 🧛Kresnik|Kudlak: those whose souls leave alpha Planning to have at least one game organised a month. With a game of Red Markets in February! Particularly keen to use the new negotiation rules.

This was one of my absolute favorite interviews I've ever done about this creative field. Tabletop games rule, coloring rules, fucking around just to try shit rules, Linday Barry rules, the vibes are immaculate here do yourself a favor and listen to Dice Exploder 🔥🎲🔥

Finally unpacked the Sylvanian cottage at the new place. Slowly decorating it with the Kresnik themed furniture I've been working on for the last few months. #miniature #ミニアチャ#dollhaus #diorama #ジオラマ

The real hierarchy of needs

Hey Bluesky. Need to make a little map? Here's a 4(ish) step way to do that with Affinity Designer. Using the node tool to make the town, the vector brush tool to draw 'roads', and the shape builder tool, to create little pockets in town you can color to highlight important areas. alt for details.

Friends! Yesterday's @neverpo.st is a special one. Me, Hans and Jason talk about how 2024 went for us: how many people listened, how much money the show made (not much!), how much the show spent (more than not much!), how we did that, and our best guesses for how much LONGER we can do that.

Tonight! Are you an indie #ttrpg developer looking to get your product in front of reviewers, journalists, and other opinion makers? @rascalnews.bsky.social co-founder @rowanzeoli.bsky.social is dropping by our Twitch channel to share an insider's perspective. Live at 9:00p EST//6:00p PST.

Igor the Assistant is now available to purchase! I have released physical media now. No one can say I haven't. It's very good! Thank you to Diskette for publishing this!

I wrote about David Lynch -- what his work meant to me, what interviewing him was like, what I learned from him, and what I'm so eternally grateful for. RIP 💚 (Also in this post, a list of resources to help those affected by the LA fires). burner-account.ghost.io/rip-david-ly...

With the news of David Lynch's passing, here's a passage from the interview book Lynch on Lynch where Lynch credits the remarkable Blue Velvet scene where Dean Stockwell lip-synchs Roy Orbison into a work light to a weeping Dennis Hopper entirely to trusting the actors and random chance.

This interview with David Lynch from last year was an absolute delight while offering insights to him & his work. Highly recommended from the auteur. www.npr.org/2024/06/13/1...

Back in November, The New Yorker published a short story by Han Kang called 'Heavy Snow' that's drawn from her new novel We Do Not Part. It's very good and you can read it here. [1/3] www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...

Really excited to see the revised edition. Not only is Voidheart Symphony right up my alley but @soengery.bsky.social is on the project. Just the best of all things.

🥁 Announcing the Public Domain Image Archive! 🥁 We are v excited to share our new sister-project, the Public Domain Image Archive (PDIA), a curated collection of 10k+ out-of-copyright historical images, all free to explore and reuse: pdimagearchive.org @pdimagearchive

So, apparently the Internet Archive folks have created a giant searchable repository of GeoCities-era animated GIFs. You can also click on a GIF to visit a page where it was used! I found something terrible like IMMEDIATELY. It's my own fault for clicking the words "Faeces Facial". gifcities.org

To create a kilim for my Kresnik house I have dived deep into weaving on a mini loom. To be honest I am getting better. #miniature #ミニアチャ #dollhaus #diorama #ジオラマ
