Jonathan Joss was Comanche and Apache and an openly gay actor. He was murdered while looking at the remains of his dogs at his own house that was burnt down. The killer yelled homophobic slurs before shooting him. This is the real world consequences of the hatred that the right commodifies

Reminder as a cis straight person I don't consider it my place to label myself an ally, or to tell LGBTQ+ folks that they're safe with me. That's for others to decide based on my behaviors and actions. It's entirely possible there will be differing opinions; there's no single certification board.

It's kind of funny to see the same system text me twice in a day: first, to tell me that a prescription refill I ordered yesterday (no reminders, just checked because the bottle was getting low) is ready. 90 minutes later, a "your refill is overdue! order today!" reminder. I do so love technology.

I have, no joke, seen a whole lot of ostensibly-leftist posters saying "it wasn't an antisemitic attack, it was an anti-Israel attack." My sibling in science, when you're firebombing elderly Jews holding a peaceful vigil on a pedestrian mall in Boulder, it's a fucking antisemitic attack.

Caring about hostages isnt even necessarily supporting Israel at this point! This is so horrifying. There is no justification for throwing Molotov cocktails at people marching peacefully and it will do nothing to help Palestinians. It only energizes those weaponizing antisemitism
