I'm reading this book. It was written in 1992, but takes place in 2054. Something goes wrong in 2054 (it's about time travel) and they're having a hard time getting people on the phone, and I'm just like... my phone tech now is better than the future in this book and I'm feeling weird about it.

Finished! Except for binding, but it's protest ready. I wish the quilting on the boot showed up. It's for dollar signs and pretty accurate boot pieces, if I do say so myself. I'm not a good drawer. I freehand cut all the pieces, so that was fun. Anyway, if it rains it'll hold up better than a sign!

Why did I never consider the possibilities of raw edge applique before!? Whipped this up for the protest tomorrow. Quilting, then hopefully I'll be able to figure out my embroidery machine enough to write "They are treading on all of us." I might not make it to binding, but you ever know.

I'm not sure there's a chart that better explains where the U.S. currently exists. Everyone thinks we need more factories, and everyone thinks someone else should work in them. As unions keep getting gutted & workplace safeguards keep being eliminated, that number on the right will keep dropping.

When I quit meta I knew that the hardest part would be missing quilt inspiration. I miss it so much that I downloaded tiktok. But my problem with tt is that it's all tutorials. I don't need to learn how to bind, or whatever, I just want pretty pictures 😪 (quiltsky is great, just not very populous)
