I believe in a better world. Where people are put before money. Where we think about the legacy for the next generation Not the next election. We are not all born equal, But we, all things being equal, doors should be opened Not minds closed.

I'm debating adopting their technique by agreeing with those who think he'll be the next PM. Remove his pillars of support with a false sense of security. No need to campaign. No need to post leaflets through letterboxes. He's a dead cert to win. 🤣

Note that I do not disagree with the hypothesis or the overall outcome of the poll. However I am well aware that the opposition will either ignore it, or declare it false in some way, such as biased language.

If Democrats are aiming this at professors, this is fine. If aiming it at the average voter, it needs simplifying. The average reading comprehension is something like grade 11 or 12 (not familiar with the US system). Also, to take out the negatives it rails against. Something along the lines of:

Slightly to a tangent, but could it be the language and style it is phrased in too? The former is complex and hard to read, the latter tells a simple, appealing story. Would the gap be less if they were written in a similar style? Without this, it could call into question the scientific basis.

I don't know why they allow comments on any story that will come to trial. Sub Judice applies to newspaper, why doesn't it apply to Social Media?

Has any reporter gone and asked people affected by the disaster whether the drop from 100% to 90% will impact them? If not, then perhaps a journalist should? 1 min 32 youtu.be/TCVU52T6Cbs?...

/2 Sneak the banned version on the shelves for 2 weeks until you have to check your copy back in. Tell people who need to read it. Remove the banned copy for two weeks. Rinse and repeat. Alternatively, if you have a garden, set up a free book-box library. streetlibrary.org.au/library/four...

There's also the book placement strategy. I doubt they check every shelf, every day. Buy a copy of an "approved" book in the same category, remove the cover and glue it over the banned book. Take the copy out of the library, and copy the library label and placement. /1

Who runs this library board that made the decision to remove? Is it a private company, or is it public employees, or volunteers? Is it possible for right-thinking people to apply for these positions? To do what the Republicans have done, and take them over?

Very much so. The billionaires want to do away with the Human Rights Act in the UK, and can pay to fund as much disinformation as they want to.

The bigger question is why is Murdoch (and the BBC) giving so much air to Farage and Reform? Is it such a slow news day, or is there something else at play? Couldn't be anything to do with billionaires worried about keeping their wealth, is it?

Does it include native born English too? My experience through nearly 20 years of gaming on European servers is that many Dutch, Swedish, German, Greek, Serbian etc players speak (and write) better English than a fair few British players.

& the response to "why" was "Well, it's sovereignty, innit" but, when asked "what do you mean by 'sovereignty'?" they either (a) didn't reply (probable bots) or (b) were completely unable to frame a coherent, cohesive answer (didn't know) or (c) "make our own laws" (don't understand how EU works)

There's an apocryphal tale that, after the vote, one senior Tory member said to him something along the lines of "My dear boy, even the golf club requires a two-thirds majority for a major change to the rules..."

1) It is not funded by "green energy companies". Research has been going on since the 1830s archive.org/details/mobo... In the UK, and many others, it is funded by the government. 2) Supposition, with no evidence. 3a) "No one"? Trump seems to be - and many others. 3b) We aren't burning fossil fuels?

After hearing multiple news stories of people turning up to find it's some poor random family who's had their property listed by scammers (who have then scarpered with the deposit), leaving the tourist stranded with no accommodation for the night... no thanks. www.wikihow.com/Airbnb-Scams

Looking in closer, I can't be sure, but I think the photo relates to the VE day remembrance memorial. It just so happens to be positioned below, and just to the right of, the word Reform in the headline with the article on the remainder of the page. Lest we forget.
