Much wider tooth to the paper when trying to scan or photograph, but I still like how it turned out in person.

Crouching pose

Started the top-left pose last week with a light tough and 2H pencil. Very loose. Decided to add a couple more poses and render a bit.

This came together faster than I imagined

Some loose sketches to let my mind unwind.

Working on skin tone, shading, folds by creating depth.

I drew this pose from memory last year after a first attempt. Going to see how I fill up this sketchbook.

Used some parchment paper a few weeks ago and viewed a reference I purchased from @grafitstudio.bsky.social This is from the Battle Heroine set. I needed practice with foreshortening, and this set has plenty of poses.

Loved this pose, so I’ve been working on different techniques and variations of it.

There’s a fighting stance I’ve been working on. It’s slowly making sense especially with the hands. Repetition and study helps.

It’s been a strange week since my cat passed away. I’m trying to maintain my practice as much as possible.

Still working on the things I find challenging. Just trying to improve on aspects of figure drawing and expression.

I work on other things besides the figure, so here are some flowers:

Color practice and some charcoal work from a few weeks ago. The sofa pose is from an old reference of TheArtAche’s Gumroad.

Bending poses

Some foreshortening and exaggerated angle practice.

Daily practice

Got some quick practice in last night

Added a third pose I almost forgot I worked on earlier

Been working on some poses from imagination. Still in the lab, but I want to make something of these

A little more progress.

Still doing color studies. It’s definitely an exercise in patience.

I forgot I did these one night a couple of weeks ago.

Completed coloring my other pose from imagination

Working on skin tone again with Copic markers. @strakyhutch.bsky.social from the photo set “La Pythie”

I started working on some flesh tone studies with the poses I did in a previous post. The final two were done with no reference, and I will see what else I can create using pen and marker.

I squeezed in a few poses in the space I had remaining on the pages. Some of these include Estella from the Drop Dead Gorgeous recording I purchased on Gumroad.

These took about 20 minutes to finish. 0.3 pen and working on keeping poses from getting too stiff was the goal.

Did this a few weeks ago based on my cat loafing about.

Some random ink practice. I live willow trees, so I am trying to get them down.

Fun with charcoal. Poses are from memory. Some charcoal pencil and the top-left is vine. I’ve been using a blending sponge I got from Ulta.
