And thanks to this very innovative documentary by Klára Tasovská, one also gets to know that another icon - of Czechoslovak New Wave and feminist cinema - Ester Krumbachová had eight cats. So in witchy character! Seriously catch this rare film if you can: m.youtube.com/watch?v=gjLD...

Glad to hear you had a good experience but unfortunately too many don’t learn such skills at home for various reasons, including because quite many come from families shaped by gender based abuse and men’s violence against women and thus lack positive guidance in the family. Society needs to step up

Men will need broader social and emotional skills than that. Increasingly more women are no longer living their lives in ways bound by the confines of relating to men, but alongside their own aspirations. Men and society need to adapt to this material reality in more positive and constructive ways.

Another telling graph. As pointed out, “‘young women no longer feel safe in cities’ is actually just what old boomers in the countryside say to justify their racism.” And not only there, let’s think how commonly this narrative has been painted in the media and ask how and why is it being promoted

It’s quite impressive! And the Estonian Museum of Applied Art & Design in Tallinn is one of my favorite museums of design ever and I’ve been to a few… and of course, I deeply appreciate the Vabamu Museum of Occupation and Freedom. Would go back to all but got only time for Eglė Budvytytė at KUMU…
