I think America needs some lawyers with deep knowledge of the government and Constitutional Law, who understand Public Health Policy. Somebody tell the Obamas we need them to suit up.

Every time I see "DEI" I read it as "Disability Employment Initiatives" and fear for every single person who works as supervisors, natural supports, and assistants, in addition to the employees with the disabilities. They participated. They trained. That was not waste or fraud or discrimination.

My son watches some movies multiple times. I now realize, these movies he repeats have a theme. Unlikely heroes fight back and win. "Yellow Submarine" is a parable for our time... The Blue Meanies have taken over. Don't let them drain your color. Organize, fight back, be yourselves, and resist.

Dreaming forward. What changes would improve disability support services' bureaucratic processes? Those of us in the midst of it have complained for years that it is a tangled mess of duplicative procedures for determination and funding authorization, and direct services struggle to meet needs.
