I haven’t watched it in what must be 20 years and I still have my DVD and this post has made me feel like I really should

I’m sorry, bud. I’m just a follower but I enjoy what you do and I hope you’re okay.

Name’s a bit weird, though. Which Director worked on this Cut?!

I have this! It was my first gundam! It was so cheap and fun to build; I love it!

I get that - I’m pretty much the same as you. But, this is a roguelike, so it’s not really about character progress as your stats and gear reset every time. I wish the solo experience was a bit more friendly but it is fun with randos if you don’t take it super seriously :)

What do you mean by keep up with other players? You mean within a session?

Well really it’s @downchasm.bsky.social’s fault šŸ˜† I think if you’re so inclined there’s emulation of it available? I’ve badgered people at Sega over the years to let us port it - hopefully one day!

Oh sure! (I coded that stuff with M2 for the Steam version) But Planet Harriers is a fully 3D game that’s never been playable outside the (real) arcades, sadly!

But truly, how many wipeouts does one need? šŸ˜‡

That’s a very dangerous myth! When raising our kids we refer to delicious looking but toxic berries as ā€œbird berriesā€ for the simple reason birds can eat them but we can’t. That’s really not safe advice to follow, I’m afraid.

Burning Rangers came out here! The PS1 had a massive library, it’s true, but I never had enough money to even come close to getting all the good Saturn games so it was a moot point when I was a kid.

You think your autonomy and freedom being taken away is a vacation? What do you see to be the purpose of prisons?

You think 20 years in prison is a vacation?

Nice. It’s a tough nut to crack! I’m really lucky that in my current job I always have 1mil different things to be doing so I can constantly switch between them to keep moving. Context switching is really hard for some people but I need it constantly or I get… bored, and demotivated…

I know I’m not done yet, but I saw credits so I’m counting it now. 15th game finished of 2025, Dead Cells! Was feeling the itch for more Igavania and this was juuuust close enough - especially with the CV DLC!

14th game finished of 2025, Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii! Took me just short of 50 hours to do basically everything (I didn’t 1v1 Amon.) Something about open world 3rd person pirate action games really hook me… Full play through here! Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii www.youtube.com/playlist?lis...

People with far bigger real problems than this have come up against this, and the result is the same as me. No way to appeal in a fair way, no way to discuss it with a human. Just a cold ruling with no reasoning. Nonsense.

I don’t really need the money but the people who contact me to say thank you are all genuine and it really chaps to brush up against a monolith like YouTube being dicks with no recourse because there’s no way to talk to a human.

I get so much thanks and acknowledgement for this from people. But YouTube decided I was ā€œreusing contentā€ ??? last year and demonetised my channel of 1000s of videos. Appeals instantly rejected. I record and edit everything myself - I play the games myself.

This approach has led to an incredible amount of comments in thanks - people who want to use footage of a boss fight or a boss’ dialogue in their lore video, or even someone who accidentally skipped a cutscene - or simply didn’t speak the language and had to come back later.

Nevertheless, my rigorous method eventually drew the ire of YouTube. I painstakingly record and edit as much of those games as I can and break them out into dialogue, cutscenes, bosses, secrets, and make individual videos with no nonsense - so people can find what they want.

I was about to disagree because my memories are of FEELING LIKE a child but I checked the date and no I was 18 when it came out. Maybe still counts tho cos before the age of 30 I was still an absolute uncooked idiot.

They don’t even make it clear in the article pages! I was researching Godzilla for something and ended up on some wiki that pretended everything ever was in some giant shared multiverse and it took me way too long to realise half of it was made up! Argh! Agreed with u, it’s just circling the drain
comment in response to post
It is annoying when you’re looking for something and find yourself on some wiki that is FULL of made up stuff. Just top to bottom imagination presented as truth. I really don’t see the appeal!
