Starmer immorally imposing a £6bn aid cut on the globe's poorest, hungriest and sickest to waste extra on a profligate and inefficient MoD isn't going to make Britain or the world safer. Far from it. And brace for more Channel small boat crossings.

When the UK became part of the European common market in the early 70s, the history teacher insisted that we draw margins measuring 2cm wide in our homework books, instead of the usual ruler’s width of one inch. I estimated, he measured and I got two strokes of the cane.

We are preparing to move from the #deadbird. If you know us from there, or not, and don't mind reposting some of the amazing #independentmusic we discover and try to shine a spotlight on, perhaps by being tagged sometimes, please let us know! Details stored on Word Doc in our office, & never shared!

Thanks to @wudrecords.bsky.social for including my song Another Time Another Place on this wonderful playlist. I am hugely pleased and very grateful. Thank you so much! 🙏

Well that was quite the pilgrimage. All from the comfort of an armchair too. Maybe there’s something in that Maureen Cleave interview comment. #GetBack25

No apparent Beatle links to totp on Thursday 30th Jan (for the first time in weeks). #GetBack25 totparchive.co.uk/episode.php?...

25.1.69 JL: I don’t regret anything….. I’m sureI recall him saying’Not even Bob Wooler’ after that, the first time I watched this. Has it been edited out? #GetBack25

“Who knows Yoko?” Paul seems shy in one of the few direct addresses to her from anyone other than John in the whole of Get Back. #GetBack25

@rarericks.bsky.social One that got away.

George obviously prefers the Rickenbacker bass. Paul sticks with the Hofner. He could have said ‘Tell me what you want me to play and I’ll just play it.’ #GetBack25

On totp this night in 1969, Marmalade are still no.1 and Leapy Lee, of Little Arrows fame, has a song called Here Comes the Rain. If Paradise by Amen Corner adds the sublime. #GetBack25 totparchive.co.uk/episode.php?...

‘Another Time, Another Place’ by @TerryNaylor19 is on #SoundCloud on.soundcloud.com/GMZHa1NUtUru...

Love you Edwyn. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS6P...

On BBC2 on this and other Mondays in January 1969 at 8pm, The High Chaparral filmed, as we now know, in Tucson Arizona (where Linda had lived and studied). Followed shortly by wacky Marty Feldman. #GetBack25 genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/3c18ecc958ca...

Teach In foreshadowing The Cardigans here. #totp

To be fair, if they had got Clapton in, he may have taken Commonwealth in a more literal direction. #GetBack25

Gems like I Me Mine, For You Blue met with indifference and a kind of patronising indulgence. You can see why George felt the way he did. #GetBack25

Not a lot of warmth in the room for Dick James, considering (or because) he would get the kids in a divorce. #GetBack25

Hey Paul, I can play drums too. #GetBack25

On totp this night in 1969, Fleetwood Mac with Sun King influencing Albatross, the Marmalde with O-bla-di and one Apollo C Vermouth produced, Rutle written track, I’m the Urban Spaceman. #GetBack25 totparchive.co.uk/episode.php?...

Lily the Pink, with its music hall feel and antwacky lyrics provides a number one for another Liverpool band featuring Brother Michael and proper beatpoet Roger McGough. ‘Hold my beer,’ says Paul as the Fabs trot out Maxwell for the 356th time ‘and fetch me an anvil, Mal.’ #GetBack25
