I off-loaded my manipulative sister-in.law by telling her my therapist had said that it was imperative I took time out to reflect on recent challenges in my personal life, and I’d get back to her asap. That I didn’t, and don’t actually have a therapist is irrelevant. Try not to get drawn in.

I shall be very annoyed if this cavalier behaviour re-activates The Curse and buggers up your Backlisted activities.

I work+ at valuing Pleasure of Small Things . I’ve just been asked to help on a survey of memorial benches in Alexandra Park. My friends have often been sorely tried by my bounding off to read inscriptions whilst out walking. So my perfect distraction and comfort. Value small civilised pleasures.

Yes. Unless men want to, then we just have to shut up because their feelings matter more than our hard-won chances of feeling secure when we are at our most vulnerable.

Not just literature of course. Important to acknowledge human flaws behind the work of so many artists - Eric Gill a prime example. We should still be able to appreciate the artistry. Humans are impossibly complex beings who generally let one down. Sooner we learn that the better!

My dear Andy … my turn to thank you. Backlisted helps cheer me through many darker moments. It’s not even 9 in the morning and I’m welling up just thinking about it. Don’t tell anybody that tho’.

Is it to do with softness and texture maybe? Mine (bought - St John - fabulous) went hard when cold. Still tasty but lacked desirable squidgy effect. Also: steaming plus; reminds me of my lovely mum. She always made two puds - second one kept for Easter Sunday. Never poisoned anybody.
