Confirming CDA and not Spokane is wild.

I think you're forgetting about Brett and Eric Weinstein. Surely they each count for at least 5 Galileos

Several of the arrests I saw were old people, I had to dip before things really started going though

You shoule write a post about the beauty of sewers because my wife and I are going to Paris in November, and she doesn't want to visit the Museum of Sewers despite them being the most famous sewers in the world

The police did nothing about people blocking the street, which wasn't blocked anyways. The police themselves blocked the street and then deployed on the sidewalk. Only after the street was blocked did people block the street

Go to Longview, Washington it's the Mecca for PT Cruisers. And squirrel bridges.

I live in Colbert and people talk about Spokane this way.

Well I have a Z mount camera, the most flexible mount, so of I just pay several hundred dollars per adaptor, I can use other lens systems

Yeah, I would like to take nice photos of birds and wildlife. I already have a body. Of the entry level lenses I've been looking at, it seems like the consensus is the one that's "only" $1000 one is garbage and I'll regret buying it.

I like the move Smoke Signals, but a lot of it is oh, Phoenix is clearly just downtown Spokane, and I have driven on that Arizona road, it's in Central/Eastern Washington.

Really going with the "He's not a pedophile, and I would know, I am one."

In Washington, my wife was very lucky that the school she was a Paraeducator at while she got her MIT at a night program kept paying her while she was student teaching there.

I believe Ladder Matches are the traditional venue for Custody disputes.

The only place in WA that defunded the police was Republic, and that was because only officer and dipshit Loren Culp went on vacation for a whole year to run for governor and the town realized it was cheaper to just pay the Sheriff's office than have a police department

Got it, the Ritchie Torres definition of Anti Semitism is if you say bombing children is bad, but not if you say that the only reason people dislike you is dead Jewish people who are funding protests from beyond the grave

Watching it now, but just want to pop in as someone who has worked in geography: Fuck township and range. It is so goddamn annoying to use. Ooh, this pole is located at SE 1/4, SW 1/4, NE 1/4, sec. 25. T. 3 S., R. 2 W. Fuck you Township and Range. I hate you so much

Spokane will open "Safer Air Centers" for people who don't have adequate filtration, which is similar to our cooling shelters for people who don't have AC during heat waves.

It's just a super logical design that any civilization would develop fairly early on.

I found a maggot in my food at the Red Rock Restaurant in Wall, South Dakota, and they gave me that item free. Spent that night vomiting.

I'm pretty sure they're just listing every county in Sanctuary states. I live in Eastern Washington and there's no way any of our counties have declared that, but all counties are listed

Probably not the best, but I loved in Future Man where Josh thinks he's been hearing the voice of God for several episodes and when he finally meets the voice in person it turns out to be Time Traveling Bin Laden

I mean, even those 3 are a bit iffy sometimes. Rocks can flow over long periods. Solid Salt layers will often flow upwards through denser rocks.

Also, if you leave a waterbottle in the freezer, there is a chance it won't freeze until you give it a squeeze, then it will ice over rapidly, since the liquid water was below 0 C.
comment in response to post
But if there is nothing to nucleate on and no energy input it can get below to -40 as a liquid! This is called supercooling and is responsible for fun snowflakes. The big plates form in clouds at around -15 C
comment in response to post
Any science you get enough into you start getting these category errors and things that are common knowledge but only part true. My favorite is that people say that Water freezes at 0 C. This is trueish. Water can freeze at 0 C.

To simplify it, imagine Bird species A, B, and C. Bird A and B can breed, and Bird B and C can breed. But Bird A and C cannot. So by the classical definition, Bird A and B are the same species, Bird B and C are the same species, but A and C are not. Bio peeps please correct any errors
comment in response to post
The gist of it is that the classic definition of species is if members can interbreed with each other. With Ring species, neighboring members can interbreed just fine, but end members cannot.
comment in response to post
As I mention somewhere in the comments, I am not a Biologist (I managed to avoid Bio classes in college by taking Paleo classes instead) so I can't speak authoritativly here, so I suggest you look into the concept of "Ring Species."

It was really fun to have the kids try and work out a definition of life as a group and being able to pop in and say, according to your definition fire is alive.
comment in response to post
I worked at a Geology museum in college and we got a grant to teach about Astrobiology to teens, and half of it was talking about how the definition of "Life" is not great because we only have one planets worth of data.
