A clean actual-play podcast that's mostly a D&D campaign set in a flat world trapped in a glass container, but then changes to Planescape/Spelljammer/other weird stuff, and we even play some other systems! Now finished, but find us on @thehouseofbob.org.

That episode in particular is very well-paced.

Monochrome is such a misnomer. It has green AND black!
I loved the original Wasteland, though I think I played it too young to really understand the game.

It's pretty great! We're using it as a foundation for a revised ruleset that we're eventually going to use to play through the classic Star Frontiers modules on the Tales of Bob podcast...
...someday. Eventually. Probably.

We'll have one more post with interesting data on how a middling actual-play podcast like ours performs, and then this account will probably go silent. If you have other questions, you can ask them on our Discord, or chat with us about other stuff on the House of Bob Discord.
Thanks again, folks!

You'll be able to hear us play other games on the @thehouseofbob and Tales of Bob podcasts: thehouseofbob.org/subscribe/
The House of Bob just finished up a short Spire campaign, and will play a couple one-shots before something really different. Tales of Bob is playing #pathfinder2e!

I thought of some related interesting etymology.
In Greek "entomo" (έντομο) is "insect" BUT...
The sound of δ shifted from "d" to "th" in Modern Greek. The "d" sound in Modern Greek is represented by ντ.
But that means "έντομο" is now pronounced "edomo" in Modern Greek. So is it "edomology"?

Yeah, bugs are pretty neat.

"Deer" originally referred to any kind of wild animal (in Old English), with "heorot" (i.e. hart) referring to what we call a deer.
Words, man.

One would think so, but I can say from personal experience that even the larger publishers--and I am not just talking about WotC here--release products with serious errors and omissions that would not survive a playtest.

3) The butterfly wand has three spells, but to swap between them you have to roll something (Arcana?), and if you fail it cuts your hand or backfires.
4) The sawed-off shortwand converts every single-target spell into a ten foot cone.

The @thehouseofbob.org discord has been discussing these because they're brilliant. So far we've decided:
1) The Knuckle wand lets the wizard punch people with Mage Hand, or make a melee attack using their spell attack bonus to hit and damage.
2) The nail wand converts all damage to piercing.

For anyone wondering why the dralasite is colored so strangely, it's because this depicts how he looks to other dralasites; humans normally can't see the color "blorple".

Aramax One was written by John Tantoblin (surely a nom de plume) and published in 1983 in Imagine Magazine. Episode art is by @crkdgt.bsky.social and @shaunmakes.bsky.social! Parts 2 and 3 come out next month.

I think the author may be from the U.K., based on the words used. For example, "car park" instead of "parking lot", though I suppose they could also be Australian.
