You may not know because history is slow and obscure sometimes but when US protests have been accused of being driven by provocateurs and instigators, it often later emerged that the accusers from the liberal side were actual cops or accidentally helping the cops attack movements.

A thing everyone should know is many protesters have valid reasons for not reporting protest injuries to hospitals.
Cops, on the other hand, get free rides to the ER for finger splints. This is important to keep in mind when police issue PRs about extensive "officer injuries" to news outlets.
