I was at school in North Carolina through that election period and afterwards. I remember feeling exactly this! He was an honest and downright GOOD man, quietly one of the greats.

Respect is going to take a VERY long time to recover, but hopefully other countries will stop despising the US once he's gone.

Which pockets did it go into?

It was a supremely pathetic effort! 😂

I would personally prefer ball bearings as there's no chance of hooves breaking them, but they would probably be seen as an offensive weapon

Maybe compared to other cities in the US, but police behaviour in other Western countries is SO much better.

Marbles on the ground. They don't cause serious harm but horses really hate them because they create a slippery and unstable surface, so they won't move quickly.

Happy Obama Day to you too!

That's true. Also, people protesting against ICE are not really known for belligerent 'shoot first' attitudes. That's more the ICE/police style.

The problem is what if someone decides to 'solve the ICE problem' 😬

ICE *is* your common American vigilante.

Depressingly predictable: both the senator and the representative are Democrats.

JFC mate, don't gaslight me. I understand the job VERY well and I was going to do it with a friend (who has been in the trade himself but is retired), but I felt getting a specialist with current experience to lay the tiles would be best. I'm still looking, but this guy's now blacklisted. 🧵

When I said no but I make sure I research to avoid making mistakes they said "Google don’t don’t do the job is a lot more than you may understand". (Copy-pasted verbatim.) 🧵

I asked, and yes it's just for the tiling. They asked what I was expecting so I explained (again) the above details and said I was expecting around £70 per sqm. Their response? "Are you a tiler?" 🧵

Average costs for path tiling labour in UK are £50 per sqm, a bit more for London, so I'm assuming £70 per sqm is reasonable. First quote: £2120, which is just over £300 per sqm. 😂 🧵

I wonder if Don Jr went there during those years. 😇

But despite all that he isn't a true Republican.

Well, since Musk said his son did it, it won't be that. 😂 So yay! Someone got tired of his crap. 🎉

Off. His. Nut.
comment in response to post
Well, Musk said his son X punched him after he told him to. So it won't be that.

In a publicly accessible area too, wasn't it?

And turns it into a religious pitch. JFC.

"I am pretending that I caused a problem" is more accurate. Factories closed, civil unrest? Give me a break! If China lost ALL of its exports to the US that would account for a bit over 14% of its total exports. That's all. Sure that would hurt some but it wouldn't be a disaster. Ffs.
