I'm 100% on board with this! I'm an animator who recently got a whole lot of attention and am looking for ways to make a living on what I enjoy... mainly dinosaurs and art. bsky.app/profile/thde...

I'd feel bad if it IS dying already. I just got popular here!

Right up there with Bill Nye saying the meteorite hit at a third the speed of light as one of the craziest line misreads in documentaries.

I'm hard at work at it. Until then, you're more than welcome to explore my portfolio at whejaverse.com, although even the stuff most like this isn't *exactly* like this.

I'm glad you like it! Thanks for the boost!

Thanks for sharing! Every little bit helps.

I enjoyed it as a kid because Goofy-ahh rabbit detective cartoon, but it's one of those where you grow up and realize it's making a pretty bold statement.

My conservative mom always gets frustrated talking to me about this and often says, "How can you say you love science and still support trans people?" This is overall a bigger win for them than for me, but hey.

Did you beg or did you borrow?

Ooh! Nice color choices! I'd like to see your take on a Ceratopsian. Let's go with Chasmosaurus.

Are you saying it's just okay, or is that a goblin "Ook" grunt?

Dangit! I used the wrong spelling of "peek" in front of my biggest audience!

Thank you all so much for the attention! More work on Project Sketchasaur is on the way. To tide you off until then, here's a little peak into the work that went into this! thdenwheja.blogspot.com/2025/05/sket...

As an addendum, I hate to jump right into finances, but I'd humbly recommend donating to my Patreon. I don't have a stable income, so any support would go a long way in getting these out more quickly, producing more high-quality work, and letting me help others. www.patreon.com/c/whejaverse

At this point, I'm almost legally obligated to make another entry in the series with this format. Thankfully, it's something I really enjoyed making, and I have plenty of drafts and ideas for where to go next. Stay tuned as we explore more of this mysterious desk and its illustrated microverse!

Beautiful work, as always! What was your inspiration for the color pattern on this one? It looks right out of Fossil Fighters, even though I know that model has a completely different texture.

Those might have been the part I was most worried about (it's basically just me squealing into a microphone with a few basic filters slapped on), so I'm glad they passed the bar.

Glad I could help!

Oh, I'd love to have a full film available to you (or maybe a documentary series?). Of course, now that this has popped off, who knows what else is in store?
comment in response to post
Well, it definitely beats the gray box everything's been turned into.

Oh, it's insane. The longer this goes, the more I realize, "Dang, I actually made *this*!"

Oh, shoot! Happy Birthday, man! I hope you had a good day.

Oh, not at all. I'm honored that something I made in my basement over two weeks garners comparison to something made by animation legends!

Thanks! I tried a few other short animations with the sketch style, but I think showing the desk around it really sold it this time.

Oh, it's been SUPER vindicating. I've always enjoyed what I do, but I don't think I've ever felt this motivated to jump into the next project.

Man, you can really see the MTG experience carry through here. The style really complements the atmosphere, and I'm all here for both!
comment in response to post
Indeed. It's about time these dinosaur documentaries got their fourth wall tested. 😆

Thanks for the follow and the share! I'm also glad with how it turned out, but I didn't imagine it would get this popular already!

The answer was pi, right?

Same here! Hopefully, I did it some justice here.

I was about to say that this *was* the full video. Can't get any fuller today.😅

I'm glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing it as well!
