Today someone told me that accepting disability payments from the government was “violence” against the tax payer. That they don’t “consent” to supporting us, and we should be ashamed. That if you don’t have family, friends or a church to care for you, you should die. This is eugenics.

It'd be great if unions were funded by the government and every employee was protected by default, but they're not. Unions are organizations that need to have money for operations from somewhere because otherwise they won't be able to pay for lawyers and fight to protect the workers in their care.

What I understood from the interview with Corina is that they want Hoyo to go union (basically going to the client directly) because that way the studios that hire VAs for Hoyo will have to respect their workers more and pay them on time (they said studios neglect employees of non-union projects).
