Austin already touched upon a lot of the issues and I definitely agree with it being a maladjustment to deflect criticism by "not being as bad as" others despite their insecurities, but I also think this is a sign of diminishing media literacy and the lines between fact and fiction getting blurred.

It's easy for ABDL as a concept to become an anchor for signals of lots of bad things once fantasy and intent become effectively the same thing. This applies to anything even vaguely problematic, which you'll find quite easily within all kink spaces. Ours just gets the most visceral reaction.

You read about harm happening somewhere really far away from yourself for long enough (among other factors such as social isolation), and the line between that and actual literal fiction starts to crumble, since the act of "empathy" gets skewed.

I still feel guilty for never getting anywhere with Happy Campers, but nobody's made it my problem, which I'm very thankful for. It may affect people's interest, but if you have audience members who will openly dictate what you should or shouldn't make, then you don't want them in your audience.

Today I tried setting up Teespring for what I thought would be a good way to sell things passively, but while doing that I was made painfully aware of how expensive everything is versus what I'd make from it, and remembered how badly the designs I already made sold in the first place, years ago.

It was the last one from an etsy seller that I got linked to in a puppygirl groupchat. You'll probably find something similar if you search for "trans puppy pride flag" on there. πŸ’–
